Beaches & Nature
Second Beach (Sachuest): You are just a short drive from `Second Beach,` a local favorite known for its soft sand and great surfing.
Nature Trails: Nature lovers will appreciate being close to the Norman Bird Sanctuary and Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, offering miles of scenic hiking trails and bird watching.
Dining & Newport Access
Local Flavor: Enjoy nearby dining in the Atlantic Beach District, featuring everything from casual clam shacks to nice sit-down dinners.
Downtown Newport: When you are ready for shopping, harbor views, or nightlife, the historic Thames Street and downtown Newport are just a quick 5-10 minute drive or Uber ride away. You get the best of Newport fun without the parking headaches!
House Rules
- Please take your shoes off at the door
- Keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm.
- No smoking inside the home, if smoking outside please make sure no cigarette butts are left on the grounds.
- Parking is available in the driveway for 4 cars max. Please do not park on the street or lawn. If extra Parking is needed please contact us. The Town of Middletown will fine the host up to $1000 if found cars parked other than the driveway, the guest may also be fined for illegal parking, guest will be responsible for any fees incurred to the host.
- Please use designated bins for trash and recycling. The yellow bag is for trash only and not recycling.
-Feel free to use the barbecue outside but please clean up after use and cover when not using.
- Please acknowledge that occasionally consumables such as condiments or snacks are left behind by previous guests. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.
- Please do not rearrange the big furniture.
- We want everyone to have a good time, but please be mindful of drinks and food on the furniture.
- Please do not attempt to open the basement door.
- Use plastic cups while outside and while enjoying the hot tub.
- When enjoying the hot tub, please rinse off before entering and while not in use turn the heat down to 86F.
- There is extra wood on the side of the house for the fireplace for your enjoyment. Please do not leave flames going overnight The fireplace for the primary bedroom is gas, the switch is right on the left hand sand on the wall, we ask that you turn it off if your are not in the house.
- Remotes for the split AC units are by the light switches in their carriers
Pets
We love our furry friends and are more than happy to have them join you, but please note the following:
- No pets on the furniture
- The yard is fenced in please check all gates are closed for safety, please be aware that if your furry baby is small, it may scape through small spaces.
- Do not leave your dogs out barking
- Please bring your dog’s bowls for food and water
- Please clean up after your dogs in the yard
Before you go
- If you move any chairs or outside furniture for the fire pit or within the home please ensure it is back in its place prior to checkout
- Ensure the electric fireplace is OFF before leaving
- Ensure the split unit remotes are back in the carriers on the wall and units are OFF
- Ensure all windows are closed and doors are locked.
