« I had a wonderful stay! The room is wonderfully appointed, quite large and very cozy. I was thrilled at seeing it. I'm still thinking about the amazing claw foot tub! The food at the Bower House below is absolutely delicious and the staff are incredibly kind and service-oriented. I hope I get to stay here soon again. The downtown area that the restaurant and rooms are in is so charming with many shops, restaurants, etc. I loved my three night stay »

« Staff in this beautifully character hotel were exemplary throughout our stay. The bedroom was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Linens & towels were of good quality and the bed very comfortable. The complimentary tea tray was excellent with fresh coffee/ cafetiere & a selection of teas. Bottled water was provided & a bottle of milk. We had dinner and breakfast & both were good. The property is a short walk from the wonderful Burford high street. A real find. »

"The Whately is perfectly located in the centre of Banbury, nice staff, beautiful garden, complete breakfast in a spacious room. The beds are very very comfy. The building itself is wonderful, but the hotel needs a big refreshment: the carpets in the stairs are worn to the bone, covered with scotch tape, one of our curtains was torn apart, the handle was about to fall from the bedroom door, and the cold water was slow to go out from the tap. If you are looking for a place to stay in Banbury, the Whately is not perfect but is a good option in the town centre."
