'On nous a donné une chambre plus confortable que ce qu‘on avais réservé. Petit déjeuner très bon en semi self-service. De 12h à 23h possibilité de prendre du café ou thé avec petite friandises. Métro à deux pas de l’hôtel. À recommander.'

'Great hotel! Rooms were clean and beds were sooooo comfortable. Location is near many stations (shijo-Gion to the south and Sanjo to the north). Close to the river and other historic neighbourhoods. Honestly an ideal home base for your Kyoto adventure. Staff is attentive and friendly and the hotel and area are quiet. We didn’t opt for the Japanese style breakfast but we saw them in the morning and they looked good.'

'Centraal gelegen verblijf. Vlakbij Nishi markt en de drukte van Gion. Schone kamers en comfortabel bedden. Wij hadden double beds, waardoor het bed ook groot was. Goede douches en een ruim bad. Gastvrij en vriendelijk ontvangen. Amenities wederom gratis beschikbaar bij de receptie. Elke dag kreeg je gratis handboeken, deze werden voor de deur neergelegd als je ‘niet storen’ op je deur had. Half uurtje lopen vanaf Kyoto station en meerdere bus haltes vlakbij het hotel. Klein half uurtje lopen van...

'This was probably the nicest Hilton I've stayed in. The room was great, clean, modern, total black-out, well appointed. The restaurant options were great. We tried the rooftop, it was fine but the views weren't great. Definitely recommend it. '

This particular ritz Carlton should be recategorized as a 7 star hotel (if there is not such a rating , one should be started) instead of 5 star. 'Lovely ryokan in the middle of the insanity. Was so nice returning here at the end of the day with all the tourists around you it’s just one simple door from the street and you’re transported to the oasis of Sowaka. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Even gave us really great tips for somewhere in Osaka on our next stop. Would stay again and just stay inside enjoying the peace and quiet of the hotel. '
