Cottages in Sedgwick

'Th property host is excellent at sending communication and responding back to you. Super clean property. Cost is very reasonable. You can easily drive to several locations in the Islands in Maine. Bucksport is only 15 mins in the opposite direction where you can get food, groceries, there is a CVS pharmacy should you need it and if your kids really want McDonalds that is there as well. But there is a Steak house just up the road, there are 2 traditional Dairy Isle type restaurant w seafood...

'If you're looking for a historic home with beautiful yard & kitchen, views of the water, and convenient access to Castine, this spot is wonderful. Host does live on property in attached building and there were several unexpected rules like quiet hours & no access to heat or fireplaces (September gets quite chilly at night!) which made the stay feel a little less special. However, overall great experience and an excellent choice if looking for local historic flavor in Castine.'

'Very well maintained inside and outside, great common area! Was easy to contact host - everything we needed was there or available at the market across the street! '

'Based on the pictures online, we thought the cottage we were renting had a water view. It does not have a water view. I would not have paid $300/night if I had known there was not a water view.'

'The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor and the town of Ellsworth where we were able to get breakfast and dinner. Quiet and had everything we needed for our stay.'

'Wish we could have contacted the host. One sleepless night because of air in the pipes. No way to turn off the water at the toilet which kept running. No water shut offs in the bathroom at all. Manually repositioning the broken flapper in the toilet after each flush was the work around. I'm sure water leaks into the sub floor because of the broken shower base.Great peaceful location. Appliances where great. Quaint cabin. In a beautiful area. '

'Right off Route 1 and very loud truck and car noise throughout the night and early morning. We were out all day in misty cool weather and really looking forward to a hot shower, there wasn’t even enough hot water for one shower. Very disappointing. Will not stay here again.'

'Perfect, Clean and thought of everything. '
