'Booking was easy, however, the writing was on the wall from early on during our stay. The cups in the room were ring stained, like they were washed out, not washed up. When we asked for a clean cup; rather than changing the dirty cup for a clean one, staff made a point of inspecting the cup and saying it was rinsed but maybe not scrubbed. Yeah, hence why it's dirty, because it's not been cleaned. Our first night was terrible. We were woken at about 0300 by other guests. The next 1.5 hours were...

'We stayed there three nights. I would have been a good place to stay for a night or two. We didn't use their restaurant because it was closed most of the time and breakfast there was more expensive than the restaurant right next door. Parking was convenient.'

'It met my expectations, if you consider the price. The only thing that didn’t quite match my expectation was for breakfast options. That may be expedia’s fault in picking up on the wrong info about the property. The breakfast is only instant coffee , some fruits and super basic pastry. Which would have been just fine if it was clearer when booking '

'A basic hotel with simple rooms. The fourth bed in our room was noticeably shorter, so my 13-year-old child didn’t quite fit. That said, the restaurant was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. And although the rooms were quite basic, they still met all our needs.'

'Hotel is fine for the price incl. a good breakfast buffet and parking. East to get to a P&R with charging and take the bus into Edinburgh. The hotel bar in the evening was not too wide a choice and when it got difficult to make a cocktail they stopped serving cocktails and only offered easy serves.'
