Kastelen in San Lucas-eiland

'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. We had a suite in the newly build tower, supposedly with a view over the marina. No view unless you stand on the balcony. We asked for a different room but got...

'This was an amazing find and stay! The location and amenities were fantastic, and it was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. We even heard some howler monkeys right outside early in the morning.'

'We had such an amazing time here! In addition to the bioluminescence tour with Eddy (10 minute drive) and the beautiful Organos Beach (5 minute walk), we did a horseback tour at Curu Wildlife Refuge (30 minute drive) and rode the ferry (10 minute drive to terminal) back to Puntarenas when we were done. BUT the best part for us was that a troop of about 20 howler monkeys was in the area and, at one point, treated us to about an hour-long show foraging in the trees almost directly above our dome....

'Die Unterkunft zu finden war schwierig ohne Beschilderung. Die Tür zum Container hat total geklemmt. An den Fenstern hingen kleine Spinnen. Insgesamt hat die Anlage vernachlässigt gewirkt. Die übrigen Container Räume wurden als Abstellkammer genutzt...'
