'I really wanted to like this place, but it was honestly a disappointing stay. The listing is misleading—this is not a “brisk walk” to the beach, and the beach itself didn’t feel safe or well-kept. The property is in a gated community with only one entrance/exit, so without a car you’re walking very far just to get anywhere. Cleanliness was a big issue. The sink hadn’t been cleaned, there was dark sand in the bathroom, the bathtub had black dirt in it, and the balcony wasn’t wiped down. The pool...

'A place to crash for the night and then on to another location. I would not stay there again or another night. Location was excellent; close to great restaurants & 24 hrs market. Place was runned down, a “room” only for a bed & nothing else & bathroom that was put together as best they could. Again, area was great! '

'In the heart of everything. If you want to be walking distance to all of old San Juan and you don’t mind a very basic place, this is a great option. Be mindful the nights are very noisy with outdoor bars nearby '

'Casa Ciana ligt in een onprettige buurt. Wij kwamen ‘s avonds aan en wilden graag iets eten. We voelden ons niet veilig om naar een restaurantje te lopen(vervallen buurt, prostituee’s langs de weg en louche barretjes). Het inchecken gaat met codes die je in moet tikken. Heel onpersoonlijk. Je ziet niemand. Onze kamer was piepklein. Ik kon mijn koffer niet openen. De kamer was wel netjes en schoon met een goed bed. De prijs kwaliteit klopt niet. Veel te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt.'
