We walked in and an insane women was screaming at the hotel manager, who had to call the police. The manager explained that the โhotelโ was a few rooms on the second floor of the building and anyone could walk in if allowed by tenants in other floors. You know what? Not my problem - we paid around $200 a room for this place and expected a safe, quiet, hotel. Instead, we got a small room on a floor of a building with cheap, bad art on the walls, and a musty smell. The rooms are close together and you can hear everything from other rooms - a neighboring room got upset at us because we were talking at normal voices at 10:30 at night and they were trying to sleep. I would have scored this place lower, but the location was good and the rooms were clean. I would have no problem if this was a $80 room, but at $200 itโs kind of ridiculous, even for Rome.
