« We were looking to book a shorter week in Fairfield to check out the university. This property allowed a shorter stay, which was extremely convenient for us. The location was a short drive to the university and within walking distance to the beach. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous. « Great stay to be so close to the lake. Provided plenty of lake accessories so you would need to pack minimal equipment. The pictures are a little deceiving as you are on top of a steep hill with Route 39 (which is busy) between the house and dock. We brought our dogs who are well behaved and stay pretty close. I would be concerned if my dog did not have good recall or young children. However, being situated on top of the hill provides a nice view! »

« This was our family's first time to Candlewood Lake/Squantz Pond. The area is picturesque and the location of this property is perfect. The porch off of the living area directly overlooks Squantz Pond and mountains. The basement was ideal for teenagers with a projector screen, air hockey/pool, and exercise equipment. « A beautiful home! The hosts leave everything you need to know in a binder, including things to do in the area, which was so helpful when unfamiliar with what’s around. Everything you need is in the house, it was a lovely experience! »
