Welcome to Hau'oli Ohana Hale (Happy Family Home), located on the lush and tropical North Shore of Kaua'i, in the resort community of Princeville at Hanalei. This convenient ground floor Mauna Kai condo is one of the largest 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominiums you'll find. At over 1500 sq/ft of interior space with not one, but three separate outdoor covered lanais, you’re treated to an indoor/outdoor-living tropical oasis on the north shore of Kaua'i that offers more personal and private space than you'll find at almost any other condo on the island.

The chef in your group will enjoy the well appointed kitchen offering a wide selection of cookware, oil, and spices to help prepare that amazing meal. The open kitchen design, as well as your private lanai adjacent to the kitchen with your own personal gas bbq, opens up invitingly to the dining area and living/entertainment room, allowing everyone in the group to stay connected during your special time together.

The generous main suite enjoys a comfortable California king-sized bed, smart tv, and a private ensuite bath with a tub/shower combo. The guest bedroom is tastefully furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed, private entrance to a separate full bath with a walk-in shower, and plenty of space to store your belongings. In addition, to sleep six comfortably, the living room is furnished with a queen-sized Murphy Bed.

The condo comes equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and coolers for your outdoor excursions to the dozen or so world-class beaches all just a short drive away. To add even more convenience to your travel needs, Hau'oli Ohana Hale is stocked with quality shampoo & conditioner, body wash, dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent to go along with the stackable washer and dryer for personal use.

Your home-away-from-home sits conveniently across from the Mauna Kai condominium pool (largest condo pool on the north shore) and recreation area, complete with a ping pong table and additional bbq grills. As close as it is, the proximity is far enough that you won't hear other guests as they enjoy themselves at the pool, insuring peace and relaxation when needed.

Located at the tip of the Princeville Resort Community and just a short stroll to fabulous local shops, restaurants, as well as the Princeville Makai Golf Course which was voted as the Top 3 Best Courses You Can Play In Hawai'i by GolfWeek. Ten minutes by car takes you to the quant town of Hanalei, where the slow pace and island vibes soothe your soul as the endless waterfalls flow in the distant emerald green mountains.

Beautiful location and nice condo!

Very ejoyable stay. Loved the location. Incredibly beautiful land and seascape! The condo was great. Our only complaint was the family upstairs made a lot of noise starting very early in the morning that made it hard to sleep. Got some ear plugs which helped.

This was a great place to stay. Met the manager Ken who showed us Maunakai.org, it has a blog for hiking and places to eat! Everyone was very friendly. We had two other friends and family staying near by and our place was the nicest by far! Great place!

We loved staying here! The apartment was super clean and big. We loved the host provided beach gear (towels, chairs, boogie boards). Washer and dryer on site was really nice to have. The swimming pool was awesome and we really appreciated the fact that there was a shoe spray off station that we could use. Would stay here again for sure!

Great location, as described. Easy access to lots of great spots. Our host was super accomodating, letting us check in and check out a bit before and after the scheduled times. Kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans we needed. Fans were enough to keep the apartment cool, overall great.Two downsides: 1. While not the owner of this apartment's fault, the upstairs neighbors were very loud with their footsteps and moving furniture around very early in the morning. 2. The only other thing is that the mattress in the bedroom closest to the front door had very bad and caved support, causing our 35 year old friends back pain. We swapped the mattress from the murphy bed to their bed, which helped, but it seems as though that bed just needs a new mattress.Other than that, a very excellent stay—recommended!

Great Stay in Princeville

Really enjoyed our stay. The property is very clean, well appointed, and as described. Convenient base to explore the north shore. Jason was super responsive and very nice. Only real downside is that if the people renting upstairs are inconsiderate there can be some noise. Otherwise, it wa sa great stay.

Light-filled, garden setting, with a nice pool

The condo is pretty nice! I love the levered windows and natural shades, the beautiful plants that surround the windows are what sold me. You feel enveloped by them. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need. The beds were comfortable. The ceiling fans were great. The ensuite bathroom was really nice to have. That being said, it was August and pretty hot, which made sleeping without AC uncomfortable. The sheets on the bed are sateen, which would feel fine if it weren’t so hot, but felt like suede on hot skin and basically stuck to you. The condo is on the bottom floor, which gives you the benefit of the garden, but the neighbors above had obviously never lived in an apartment setting before and were very loud with their feet, sounded like they were marching up there. After several days I needed to vacuum the floor and I could not get the vacuum to suck up anything. After vacuuming the whole place the canister had nothing in it. Also, the washer and dryer are in an outdoor closet which makes it loud for the neighbors, so you can’t run a load after 10pm. If you get in late from a full day of fun and need to run a load, you have to plan carefully. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. The pool was great, location is great, the beach gear was mostly great, we had a great time!

Quiet North End Condo

We chose this rental on the basis of generous (for a condo) size and proximity to a pool. We were pleasantly surprised that despite said pool, the rental was quiet and peaceful. Noise from other units was almost non-existent. Included amenities are well thought out, including quality beach chairs and toys. It made for a very comfortable stay.

Fantastic Rental

Our family of 5 rented this condo for 12 days on our vacation to Kauai. The rental was very clean and had many amenities. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The dishwasher was not working for our trip- which was a bit of a bummer… but the rest of our stay was so great we still give this rental 5 stars. It was nice to have beach towels, cooler, beach chairs, and beach toys. We used them daily. The grill works well- and it was nice to be able to cook at the condo. The pool area was recently redone- and was well kept and a great place for our kids to chill at the end of the day. The chickens are loud in the morning— so make sure to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper:) This condo is well stocked- and close to Hanalei. We loved our trip and would happily stay here again. One of the nicest vacation rentals we have experienced. Mahalo!

Wonderful place!

This place is wonderful. It was so spacious. The lanai was amazing. We were steps from the pool, which was large and relaxing. We were walking distance to the Westin, which was nice for grabbing Starbucks. The beds were comfy. The host was so responsive. Their pool/water closet was so well stocked! Cooler, umbrellas and beach chairs. Location was great as we were close to the market and short drive to Hanalei. Would definitely stay here again!

Exactly what we were looking for!

Condo was just a short drive from Anini beach which was great. Check in was super easy, and Jason and his assistant called and texted to make sure everything was good. Unit was very clean and spacious with three different areas to sit outdoors. They also left a great welcome basket full of island goodies to snack on! If you don’t mind waking early to the roosters crowing (we didn’t mind, but ear plugs were provided in case we wanted to sleep in!) this place is perfect.

Quaint Princeville condo

Hau'oli Ohana Hale was a great spot not far from the entrance to Princeville. Princeville center is walkable from the unit as is Wylie's Beach just down the hill. The development overall is showing it's age a bit, but the unit looks to have been recently updated (furniture, appliances, and window treatments). All the necessary beach gear, including a coolers and chairs are there. Spices, coffee filters, and plenty of plates, glassware, and pans for your cooking needs. There was only 1 wine glass. On Wednesday of our stay, unbeknownst to the property manager for our unit, the development closed the pool for 2 months. Jason and Janine from Kauai Prime were very responsive. They comped us a night for the inconvenience and Jason stopped by to apologize and drop off a bottle of wine. There are so many great beaches to find on the North Shore we barely missed the pool. We would definitely return to rent this property or another from Jason and the team at Kauai Prime. Mahalo!
