Mooie details in de kamer als handgeschreven teksten op de muur en ingelijste papercut kunstwerkjes. Een betoverend hoog fresco plafond en een fijn, groot bed. In een woord een fantastische kamer. In de gemeenschappelijke ruimte staan heerlijke snacks, thee en koffie en tegen een kleine vergoeding kan je frisdrank en...

'Ottantotto is a wonderful boutique hotel very close to Piazza Santo Spirito and easy walking distance to Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace. Very nicely decorated clean rooms and garden area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. Instructions for access to the property are great. Would strongly recommend to stay in OLTRARNO (other side of the Arno) as this part of Florence is really nice and less touristic....AND close to all interesting sights!'

'Geweldig hotel (in een oud maar volledig gerenoveerd palazzo) in het centrum van Florence nabij de Ponte Vecchio en diverse piazza's. Ontbijt in fantastische binnentuin. Alle kamers "koninklijk" ingericht en sanitair van prachtig marmer. Prettige persoonlijke maar niet opdringerige aandacht voor de gasten...'

'The staff was very good to us, and check-in was very neatly organized. The rooms were very comfortable, and the hotel was located close to the train station and the very beautiful Florentine streets! They let us keep our luggage before check in and after checkout and have been very accommodating. The price was perfect, and the room was fairly spacious. This was a very good guest house.'

A localização é que não é ótimo, apesar de não ser ruim. Não fica tão perto de Greve um Chianti (12min de carro). De forma geral, uma boa hospedagem custo/beneficio! '
