The room was not an ocean front view as it was advertised as it was a pool view. It was a long walk to parking on the street that was not convenient. The room was great in that it had high end furniture, fixtures, etc.

The room was advertised as Oceanview not oceanfront however we did change it to pool view even though it truly is ocean view/pool view. As far as the 3 min or less walk to the hotel, we feel that the trade off of being right on the beach is much more appealing then being on the main road with car access and shorter walk. The on site bar had food as well and tge drinks and food were great. The staff was super nice and inviting. They were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were beautifully furnished and super clean. I highlighy recommend renting a suite, it is well worth it. 5 Stars all around.

My only negative comment is it is hard to get luggage to hotel because it is on the beach. There is one side walk but takes a long way to get back to hotel. However the flip side to this is it is up close and personal with the rolling waves and beautiful view of the ocean.

Little gem!
This is a well appointed gem on the beach! There is a friendly bar out back. It’s clean, centrally located and everyone was so friendly…they even had bicycles for us to use!

We had a great time here. Carla at the desk and the rest of the staff were all so friendly and helpful. They even helped with booking an excursion for us. Our room was lovely. Having “Alexa” in the room was also nice as we could play whatever music we wanted to hear and control the air conditioner. The only downsides we found were the lack of hotel signage on the main road and some trash coming up on the beach or in the surrounding areas, not on the hotel property. Overall, we absolutely loved it, and will be back!

Very laid back with all the conveniences. Bicycles & kayaks available for guests. Fantastic staff. Great pool bar with lite menu. Occasional live music. Plenty of beach loungers with shade available. Well placed shaded hammocks.

Wow... Best hotel in Belize. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff is amazing! The rooms are neat and modern. Great access to the beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Toucan Jacks (thatched roof bar) is the perfect place for a cool drink. Best of all is the staff is friendly and can take care of all your needs. Will return someday.

It’s a pretty newer hotel. It has a tiny pool which was great in a way because there were too many sea weeds all over placencia the week we were there and this was a good refreshing way It was super clean and convenient to go everywhere. Would recommend to stay there.

A beautiful property well maintained by the friendly and helpful owners and staff. There were many comfortable amenities and details in the room, such as abundant space for clothes and a bench in the shower with a rainfall shower head. Conveniently located in the village close to shops, restaurants and bars and right on the beach with a nice pool, beach chairs, hammocks with live music and fish bbqs!

No lightbulbs in the lamps, the vent was howling incredibly loudly, cleaner left products on the bench, concierge gave us the key to an already occupied room, a painting trying to conceal the electric box only half covered it. Very shabby.

Sorry for your bad experience. Reading through your review, we know you are confusing us with another resort you stayed at. There is a resort next door to us with a similar name. First of all, we do not have pictures covering any electrical boxes or any loud vents in any rooms. We are a brand new resort 6 months old and have no issues with any lamps with no light bulbs. As for the concierge, we do not have a concierge that shows you to the room or gives you a key. We are the owners and are the only ones that will show you to your room. We have never brought someone to a room that was occupied. Just to clarify our property has a Tiki Bar and pool.

This was our 3rd trip to Placencia, and we chose the Ocean Breeze on the recommendation of some local friends. I was instantly impressed with the accommodations. We stayed in the "Mahi" room and it was perfect! The tiki bar, pool, and grounds were very well kept, and the staff are some of the best people you will find. The Owners Craig and Risa were very friendly and accommodating (Risa even cooked the fish that I caught!) If you are lucky enough to have Jolly serve you a drink at the bar, you will be instantly hooked on her friendly smile and delicious cocktails. We had an absolute blast, and will be back as soon as possible!

My husband and I stayed at Ocean Breeze for 5 nights and it was even better than we expected. The location was perfect - all rooms have an ocean view, it's within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The owners are warm and welcoming and provided us with additional assistance with setting up the best snorkel tour.

Absolutely perfect place to stay! What a gem!
I feel so lucky to have found this gem! It's a new hotel and with only 8 rooms, has a boutique resort feel. The owners (Craig & Risa) live on site and made me feel right at home. They will often come out to the bar to have a chat and very responsive to any needs...Craig also gave me a ride back to the airport which was a nice touch. I visited in early July which is slow season so got lucky with a beachfront (ground floor) room which is absolutely worth the $$. Wifi worked great and it's walking distance to everything...perfect location right in the center of everything but yet feels very remote. Placencia itself is such a chill spot and I will be back for sure. I imagine this place will book up very fast during busy season so if you see an open room I'd grab it ASAP. P.S. The water was great but can get a bit choppy if high wind so having a small pool to jump into is also well worth the $$ on a hot day as oppose to many other rentals that had no pool.
