'De auto kon gratis voor het Hotel geparkeerd worden, maar er is ook een aparte parkeerplaats voor hotelgasten. In het historische pand had ik een wat gedateerde kamer, maar dit was in lijn met de prijs. Ontbijtzaal en café zijn gezellig en bij mooi weer is het lekker buiten op de binnenplaats waar ook locals iets komen drinken. Rustig Engels dorpje.'

'what a gem - not for everyone as it is not fancy, but absolutely welcoming and a perfect spot to stay in yorkshire - found the locals friendly and lively and stayed in the pub on the grounds long past midnight swapping stories dinner was excellent and breakfast was included would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet country inn stay'

'This place is a little gem. The food in the evenings and the breakfast is first class. If we lived local we would definitely return for a meal. We stayed in the smallest accommodation they have available which has the worst reviews and whilst the room could do with a little TLC the overal experience of the accommodation and stay was excellent for the price paid. 'Stayed here on business and ticket all the right boxes. The room was a bit warm though, despite that the heat had dropped off these last few days. Nice bar area and nice selection of ales. The restaurant was in a real pretty setting. Easy parking in the vicinity of the hotel and they even had parking spaces in front of the rooms which are at the back of the property. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff. '

'We really enjoyed our stay, so peaceful and calming, the trees blowing in the wind around us was a calming lovely sound. Our only issue was the kettle leaking every time you poured a drink and the fitted sheet was not big enough for the bed as soon as got on the bed it came off the mattress when trying to put back on you could get one side down but it pulled it away from other end so bigger fitted sheet and definitely deeper fit other than this it was amazing and just what we needed '
