'The Mactoimin Cottage was perfect for us. We were out early every morning for hikes and back late in the day. A couple days we were back early for coffee on the porch and soaks in the hot tub. Heavenly. The best part perhaps was that we were three minutes from the sunsets on the beach! Stunning. We did not do any cooking, other than coffee. I was a wee bit surprised how close to the road we were, but there were barely any cars that went by. The owners were so kind, even when I called one night...

'Wonderful place to stay. Great location, very comfy and well appointed. We had a wonderful time spending 6 days using this as our home base while exploring all over the highlands park. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Cape Breton.return'

'We had a great stay. Easy access to the Cabot Trail. The cabin had everything you needed. It was beautifully decorated and clean. Lovely screened in porch to sit out at night. The was also a fire pit area for everyone to enjoy. The host was easy to get a hold of and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this cabin for a stay.'

'The Margaree Valley is visually stunning and no more than in Autumn with the leaves changing colour. The property is located on the river with a very easy walk down to the Boars Back Salmon pool. The accommodation was first rate. WiFi and cell coverage 4 bars good. Very comfortable beds. Owners were charming and immediately answered any questions we had. No hesitation in recommending this spot.'
