Fabulous Stay along the Seine
We were stunned at how beautiful the 17th century building was, right along the Seine. And inside, the windows look out onto the river and central Paris, leaving a sense of spaciousness. The bateux mouches go by periodically, which is festive and fun; otherwise, the apartment is beautiful and quiet.This apartment is homey and very well organized, with separate sections and doors, making it the perfect place for our group: a mom, her son, and his friend. My son stayed in the living room, his friend stayed in one bedroom (that could accommodate two people easily), and I stayed in the back bedroom. We all had different schedules, so having a separate kitchen worked perfectly.This feels homey, not like a hotel, as the home is decorated and lived in. The kitchen was perfect with all the coffee and tea one could imagine, and all the pots and pans one might need. We cooked and ate at home a few nights.The neighborhood is amazing: the trails along both sides of the Seine are the best way to get around Paris, in my view. I would walk out going east one day, west the other, and went running on the pedestrian paths several times during our stay. The shops on the islands carry everything you need.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chez Caroline, and you will too!
