Our check-in experience was very disappointing.Check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM. We had asked in advance about early check-in since we were traveling with an infant but were told it wasn’t possible (though we could drop bags early). When we arrived at 2:00 PM to drop our luggage, the cleaner was there but nothing in the apartment had been started — beds were unmade and bathrooms uncleaned.We returned at the scheduled 4:00 PM check-in time expecting the apartment to be ready, but it was exactly the same as when we left. The cleaner was still there and even had a friend in the apartment who left when we arrived. Because we were traveling with a baby who needed to nap, my daughter and son-in-law had to try to settle the baby in a bedroom that had not yet been cleaned while the cleaner worked around us. The rest of our group sat waiting while the apartment was cleaned until about 5:30 PM.This disrupted our first evening in Paris and caused us to miss plans we had made.The apartment is charming and very Parisian, but guests should know there are only two toilets in the apartment, both near the entry, and the primary ensuite does not include a toilet. There was also a mild sewer smell from the sink in the primary bathroom, which I reported.Lastly, I accidentally left a pair of earrings behind and contacted the manager several times but never received a response.Overall, the apartment was fine, but the check-in experience and lack of follow-up communication was frustrating.
