Photos lie. Here’s what you’re actually getting. To be fair, communication was solid and the cleaning crew was helpful — they even helped carry luggage up. But that’s where the good news ends. The reality:The stairway to the unit is pitch dark at night. One dim bulb upstairs, basically a candle. The stairs/hallway share a door with a restaurant. Everything smells like it. Hope you like what they are cooking. The photos were taken long ago...this space is beat up. Peeling fake wood floors. Towel holder falling off the wall. Hole in the bathroom floor. Two stairs are half-repaired — a real hazard. The shower has no shelves or storage, so you're reaching out mid-shower to grab soap. It's tiny.Lighting is a joke — the same dim bulbs by the bed. No real light anywhere. No air conditioning. None.Worst of all: nonstop daytime construction. Jackhammers, saws — it sounds like it’s coming from inside the walls. You can’t relax, work, or nap. It’s chaos. Remember you have to keep windows open as there is NO AC.This isn’t me expecting American standards. Two French friends came by and laughed at how absurd it was.Bottom line: unless the owner has clearly addressed all of this, don’t book. It’ll be the most expensive nightmare you’ve ever paid for.The ironic thing? There’s a clean, quiet, air-conditioned hotel next door for half the price.
