« L'accueil dans cet hôtel qui fait aussi pub et restaurant est très chaleureux. Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. »

« A beautiful cottage in a secluded area with lovely views of surrounding hills and forest. The photos dont do it justice, it is much bigger in reality. It is very well equipped, and beds very comfortable with spotless linen. Even in cold weather, the cottage has more than enough radiators and a very efficient log burner to keep you warm. « Ideally located for Hadrian's Wall walkers and next to Milecastle Inn, we enjoyed one night's stay here. Very comfortable and we would probably choose to stay here for several nights if walking the national trail again. »
