'Everything was clean, no issues. What I missed and was surprised not to have on the door to the room was a security chain or door guard. This especially so since the door to the room leads to the outside of the hotel and not to a hotel hallway. The hotel also uses keys which can be copied rather than the new systems which use codes. '

'Location, cleanliness and extremely friendly and helpful staff. I had never booked at a highway motel, let alone one connected to a gas station so I was a little worried - but ended up loving my stay and wishing I could have stayed another night to enjoy the lake! The room has rustic cabin like design, and the beds were comfortable. The one issue I saw is that the bathroom had visible water damage and a bit of rust on the curtain rod in some places. 'The staff is always very friendly and will wait for you if you’re coming in late from travel. I often stay here on my trek back and forth from the west. Really enjoy the rustic feel to the rooms with your own fireplace.'
