The Daily Picayune was a prominent player in this dynamic landscape, and its former headquarters in this building have been carefully transformed into the modern incarnation that is The Picayune today.

The building pays homage to its journalistic legacy, with several framed restored prints of original newspapers, dating back to 1890, throughout the building and condo for your enjoyment. Situated strategically, The Picayune enjoys a prime location just three blocks away from the world-famous French Quarter. Getting Around:
Walking is the best way to get around in the downtown New Orleans area and when you get tired, rideshare (Uber/Lift/KrewCar) and taxis are generally readily available. Or hop on one of our famous streetcars to see two major routes throughout the city. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars are Green and head away from downtown on St. Charles Ave, into the Garden District, where you will see the beautifully maintained mansions, passing Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, and the Audubon Zoo. Red Streetcars travel along Canal Blvd. from the Mississippi River out to City Park. The streetcars are cash only, unless you buy a pass.
The Hop on Hop off tour buses circulate around some of the more popular areas of downtown and offer pickup every 30 minutes.
The Algiers Ferry is a fun way to get across the river. It runs from Canal Street to Algiers throughout the day. Algiers is small and very walkable. Enjoy a quick bite to eat or just enjoy walking through the historic houses.
Bicycle rentals are also a great way to get around and can be rented from various locations throughout downtown. There are bike rental options like Blue Bike with multiple locations throughout the city and tour companies that have guided bike tours.

A New Orleans Gem
My friends and I had a fantastic time staying here. The place is even more impressive in person and was very comfortable and clean. From the beginning to the end, this rental was great. The reservation process was simple and the communication was easy. All details were covered and correct. Girls Trip
I can say how incredible our stay was. The location was super close to anything we wanted to see but far enough away that it was nice and quiet.
Communication every step of the way was amazing with a huge call out to Barbara who took care of us from booking right through our stay and who had terrific recommendations of things to do.
The property was clean and as described and I travel a lot, little things like the towels were plentiful and thick.
Would definitely recommend to anyone going to NOLA and would stay again.

This condo was great. Overall clean. Pictures fit the description. Location was perfect, only a few blocks from Bourbon Street, and most other local attractions within walking distance. Not too noisy during the night time. Contact with the property manager was easy, and very helpful. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

Perfect Location
During a girls trip to NOLA, stayed in the cutest loft! Near everything, walked everywhere. Smelled amazing. Air conditioning was not working properly, but the management team was amazing as accommodating and trying to make it right. I do wish there was a more cozy living area downstairs instead of the massive dining table. We made it work and would stay here again for sure!
