Woonboten in New England

'Clean, air conditioned, a bit of a septic smell, but easily combatted with open windows and it goes away pretty fast. Comfortable beds with all supplies you need except the food.'

'Super fun location, that made for a really fun 4th of July. Proximity to Fort Adams gave us the best vantage point for fireworks we could have had. House boat was very nicely made up for us, clean as could be. Comfortable bed, head was clean and functional. Water taxi was super convenient and easy to use, also allowed for awesome access to downtown Newport without needing to deal with cars or traffic. Fun to experience town from the perspective of a boater for once. Overall boat gave us...

'We loved staying on the houseboat instead of a hotel. We had stayed on a houseboat the last time we visited Boston and it was a cool experience. It’s quiet and peaceful and more quaint than a hotel. Communication was great and made the check in process easy. We met up with sherry and she explained everything thoroughly. Very grateful. We traveled with 4 adults, 2 elementary aged children and a dog. A little tight but we made it work. Overall a great experience. Love.'

'DO NOT STAY HERE! It is like staying in a parking lot and the bathroom smells like a sewer. The three of us (all VRBO hosts) paid for three nights but left after one. We requested a partial refund, but were denied. We were unable to get the power working, so no lights, no phone chargers, no running water. The outdoor railings were not properly secured and the inside steps were not secured at all, making the entire boat unsafe. We were given water in a used container with no seal on the plastic...

'Great communication. The atmosphere was beautiful. Love all the baked goods'

'location to walkable attractions, comfy beds and great host communications and assistance. Loved staying on the water in a houseboat!'

'Jon was an amazing host. He met me on the dock and had a parking spot for me. Then he carted my bags to the boat and explained how everything on the boat worked. This was such a fun experience. I hope to do it again. Also Karen made banana bread, so we ate that for breakfast and it was amazing. I hope to stay there again next time we are in Boston.'

'The Houseboat was well appointed and clean. The hosts were very kind and left various drinks and breakfast items for us to enjoy. We enjoyed our stay there.'
