'All was excellent from the staff to the room to the location. They had a nice happy hour in the evening with wine, appetizers and a cookie. Breakfast offered a nice collection of choices including a made to order omelet. We liked the location near Main Street, but not too close. Great place to stay if you are going to Nevada City for a visit. thank you.'

'I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.'
