« A lovely base camp for our eastern / central UP adventures. The smoke from Canada made for some lovely sunsets. We saw crows, hawks, and eagle, and watched a family of otters swim by. We used the back deck to watch the freighters. Easy access to Brimley state park and Iroquois lighthouse for swimming. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for meals and family time. « Great home! Super clean! Weather was yucky first couple of days so wanted to watch football. Had an issue with adding tv apps. Owner and Manager fixed us up right away with Roku guest service. Now watching tv there is like a concierge service! Nice! If u like total solitude, bird and freighter watching, this is the spot! You’ll completely relax. DeTour restaurants are iffy. « Every window offers great views, and the deck is perfect for lounging or grilling. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with a fantastic kitchen, located on a quiet street in a charming village. My only suggestion is to add some summertime views from the house, because a July sunrise is phenomenal. Enjoyed the house and our time in Detour. »
