'Rooms are to a high standard and very clean, they are also equipped with a mini bar and contents (extra charge). Staff are very polite, friendly, helpful and attentive. The food in the Bistro is very good with ample choice, the breakfast choice is good and the food amazing.'

'We stayed here using some Tesco vouchers to pay for the stay. We booked a Superior Balcony Room for one night. Check-in was very friendly and quick, and we were walked to our room by the receptionist. The room was lovely, but we did discover an issue with the electronic lock — it wouldn’t lock when we went to leave. We reported it to reception, and someone came to have a look at it quite quickly. 'Amazing staff, food of a high standard. Rooms especially windows need repainting, updating .Noisy if windows are left open. But I would highly recommend. Will be staying again.'

'Very nice hotel on a very convenient location. Just outside the buzz of Southend pier and city center but in walking distance. Great views over the Thames estuary. The rooms are very well appointed. Great design. But unfortunately not all design is practical. The bathroom is really too small. Room 204 very large, but a tiny bed and an unworkable bathroom. This doesnt add up to comfort. I hope they have rooms with a normal size bathroom. '

'A large suite with separate bedroom and bathroom, both of a very generous size. This was offered as an upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Staff most attentive and food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended.'

'Het was een super verblijf. We hebben zo genoten! Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijke diners. Goed ontbijt. Prachtige kamer met schitterend uitzicht op de prachtige tuin. Het huis is heel mooi onderhouden. '
