' Beware - read the details of places carefully before booking. let me start by saying I take partial responsibility for this nightmare by not reading the description more carefully. I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. Which might not have been so bad had there not been swarms of mosquitos that attacked while we were looking the place over. It...

'My husband and I stayed at the cottage with our small dog. The surroundings were beautiful and quite peaceful. Our host was attentive to our needs, but not overbearing. We would definitely stay here again.'

'Our family had the best time in Downeast Maine! Erika was a lovely host and was very communicative. This red farm house was the best place to slow down and enjoy all the area has to offer. We loved watching the tide come in and out each day! The house is well equipped and had everything our group of 10 adults needed for our stay. If you are coming in the summer, be sure to pack bug spray! Everything was thoughtfully put together.'
