I apologize for your less than satisfactory experience. However, I do feel that most of your complaints were not valid. I find it suspicious that you did not message or call us to let us know about any of the complaints you described while you were still there - whenever a guest has any type of difficulty, we can usually resolve the problem over the phone or will go out of our way to bring over almost anything to make your stay more comfortable. - Having a surveillance camera is common in vacation rentals homes. It is not a hidden camera at all and so did not think a sign was necessary since it is obviously placed near the front door facing the driveway. - The listing description states that a smaller cabin on the same property is available to rent. It is a few hundred feet away and not seen from the lodge itself. - The back door knob needed some tinkering and locks properly now. This could have been resolved immediately with just a phone call to maintenance. - I or other guests have not found the hot water to run out quickly. I tested for more than 15 minutes. - If you don’t like bugs, then don’t book a trip in the country, at the end of spring next to a pond! However, I did purchase some bug zappers that I hung on both the front, back porch and close to the pool area to help. - We have been keeping food items (such as spices) in the kitchen very minimal due to county Covid recommendations for rental properties. Very recently, the county has lightened so I have reintroduced a variety of spices in the kitchen. - Housekeeping makes sure during every cleaning that wifi is working properly. I checked myself after you left and found it to work perfectly with the password posted. - Normally, the hot tub is maintained before each check in. However, during your stay, maintenance came the morning after your check in. The hot tub was filled with bugs when you first arrived because the guest before you left the cover open for a night. Again, I find it strange that you only complained of all of these things after you left. I can only assume that you are an opportunist trying to get money back. Also, I did not give you a response to your complaints right away because during my investigation, I did not find your complaints to be valid and wanted to see if the next guest complained of hot water and wifi problems - they did not.

I’m sorry you felt this way about our property. You happen to come right after a devastating wind storm hit our county, in which trees and debris were tossed all around. Many houses were destroyed by large trees falling on roofs. Luckily, our house was not destroyed but we were left with some trees on the ground and wood debris all over. Since then, we have spent thousands of dollars cleaning up as best as we can.
