Amazing location for big groups

The photos don’t do this house justice! It’s way bigger than we thought and it was perfect for our three families, with a total of 12 people and we didn’t even use the upstairs loft! The master is huge (our family of 5 fit in it!) and there was enough bathrooms for everyone. Great place to stay. Only thing is that there are a lot of bees outside, so just be mindful if you have an allergy. The host is super easy to communicate with and even brought over extra kitchen towels for us when we couldn't find any extras. The kids loved the pool with the diving board and the hot tub. Would absolutely stay here again, no hesitation.

Awesome! Stay

The booking process was smooth, with the host promptly answering all my questions in detail. Check-in was easy thanks to clear directions and a provided check-in code. The property was clean and well-equipped, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms, it was thoughtfully furnished. The added bonus of games and books was a nice touch. While we didn't use the fireplace (it was summer!), we checked it out and it seemed to work well. The pool was fantastic – clean, fun, and perfect for the kids. They had a blast with the pool toys! The hot tub looked inviting, but we didn’t have a chance to try it. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The host was friendly and helpful. We’d definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful cabin

It was a great experience! More than I could ask for. The cabin sits far enough from other places but close enough to Yosemite that we were able to enjoy the park and alone time all in one place. I will highly recommend this place.

We had a great time!! Owner was very accommodating. Despite the recent reviews there was plenty of cooking sheets, bowls etc. check in was super easy. Visited the park several times. kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Weekend in Mariposa/Yosemite

We booked this property months ahead of time and was really excited. The cabin is very fascinating however we had quite a few disappointments. The check-in instruction we received was completely incorrect. It tells us to call/text a person and he will hand us the key and welcome us in person. I texted 2 days in advance and the response was just "thank you and looking forward to your arrival" boiler plate without answering my other questions. When we arrive when I told them I'll arrive, of course there was nobody there. Luckily I have Verizon and I was able to make a phone call, and they told us it's actually a pin access (which was not provided anywhere). However, not everyone has cellphone coverage there. I would not want to rely on the cell phone coverage in the mountain area and hoping the property manager will always pick up the phone. After we got in, we found out that the master bedroom was not cleaned - used towels and messy sheets. So I had to call the property manager again and they sent a cleaner over and offer a partial refund. (I have not received any refund yet and I will have to follow up with them.) Another thing is that when we turn on the TV, the porn was turned on right away. Luckily the kids haven't arrived yet at the time so just be aware. And after it got dark at night, a bat suddenly appeared and started hovering in the master bedroom. We did not leave any windows or door open so not sure where it came from. We were able to get the bat out in the end.

Huge lodge, amazing potential, missing a few amenities.

My husband and I were here to hike at Yosemite with another couple. We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. There was room for another 8-10 people, but while the master bedroom has two full bathroom attached, the other 4bedrooms share a full hall bath and a powder room. The access to the pool and hot tub area was not lit until you plug in the lights and it’s scary dark. The grill was inadequate according to the guys. We made two meals but couldn’t find some staples of a kitchen like a cookie sheet or large baking pan. It’s about an hour drive to the South or the Arch entrance to the park on very winding roads. The caretakers were very responsive to our questions and it is a very spacious property.

Amazing Family Get Away

This house was amazing get away for my 40th birthday. Plenty of room for 3 families with children of different ages. Great pool, pond and basketball court in driveway. When we got there we had to wait a bit while they cleaned up but we’re able to have a late check out. Not as close to Yosemite as I thought. About an hour from the valley. Would definitely stay again!

Great hosts

We enjoyed this property for the short period of time we were there. Unfortunately we were evacuated due to the Mariposa/Oak Fire about 24 hours into our stay. We did get to use the fantastic pool and would rebook for that alone. It was a beautiful and relaxing setting. The pond was fun too. Several of us used the boat to go out fishing and explore. Thankfully the property was saved from the fire. The house was very clean and the space was fantastic. The main room opening to the kitchen was a great feature. We were a group of 12 and there was plenty of room to spread out. Regarding communication one should know the area is serviced by Verizon. We all had AT&T so it was an adjustment when we lost power (due to fire proximity) and only had the landline. I do want to say what a pleasure it was to work with Carolyn as our host. She went above and beyond letting us know when we could return for our things after evacuating and was very understanding in the chaos we experienced during our trip. It was quite an adventurous experience!

Mouse infestation & not very clean

This place has great potential but upon arrival, we noticed quite quickly that the cleaning is very light. We always take our shoes off at home and did the same here when we arrived, noticing that the floor was sticky we checked our feet to realize that none of the floors had been mopped, as the stay progressed we noticed that under all the furniture and beds it was quite dirty. Ceiling fans are coated with dust. Regarding the mice, the first day we arrived we had a mouse run accross the kitchen floor mid-day. We informed Carolyn immediately and was told that this is the first she has ever heard of it and that she would call pest control. I took her for her word not realizing how bad the infestation really was and told her that was not necessary until we leave. The same night my wife woke me up in the middle of the night afraid because she hears something crawling around in the bedroom. After inspecting the entrance door from the porch to our bedroom I noticed a 1/2-inch gap. We also bought mice traps and killed 2, which we sent pictures to Carolyn Wednesday, mid-vacation. She told us she would call pest control immediately. No one ever showed up. She did however have her maintenance guy fix the door. He proceeded to tell me as well that he has never heard of mice here, and that it was probably because we were feeding them. That did not go over well with my wife. Not sure how he did not notice all the mice feces all around the door and the grill that sits just to the right of the door. We also found mouse feces in every room of the house with the exception of the back bedrooms which have dark-colored carpet, so I did not inspect thoroughly. We also found mice feces in our food and had to throw some of it out. I wish they let us attach pictures to this as we documented everything. After experiencing all this I decided to check the reviews for the property, I could not believe that I was the only one to notice the mice and that the owner was unaware of such a large infestation. I found that she was informed on May 27th, 2022, 2 weeks before our arrival, that it was reported in a review of the property as well as being unclean. This was very upsetting, as her best defense at that point is that she doesn't even read the reviews from her guests, which I would find highly unlikely. They were other minor issues but I will leave that for future guests to report.

Beautiful cabin in the mountains.

This property has everything you would want for a spectacular get-away. The owners have taken care of all of the details (kitchen, grill, pool, hot tub) so you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. Definately worth the trek up the mountain! Will book it again.

Great lodge

Great lodge, very comfortable and roomy. 5 distinct bedrooms with a loft which the listing doesn’t accurately showcase. Could have been cleaner, the hot tub was pretty dirty and there was a mouse in the house but the property was beautiful. About 1.5 hours away from Yosemite valley so not as close to Yosemite as you might think when you first look it up. Very strange neighbor decorations. Host was super responsive and helpful

Clean, comfortable, supportive, everything we needed!

We loved this place - it was perfect for a large group, lots of beds. May even have one more bed than listed (which we wish we had known about). Lots of open space - even for a yoga class in the living room and a dance party on the deck! So grateful and happy with this stay.

Yosemite Family Get Together

Beautiful. The online pictures do it justice. Plenty of space for a multi-generational family get together. Clean and very comfortable. A pleasant 45 minute drive to Yosemite and surrounding attractions. Off a gravel road and driveway, it was quiet, with deer, Canada geese, and wild turkeys as neighbors. We would definitely stay here again.

Great House and Grounds

The Cabin is a beautiful house with 5 bedrooms +loft. We enjoyed the interior space but the grounds were the highlight. On the property was a private swimming pool with water fall and diving board and a hot tub. In addition, the large property gave us tons of privacy to enjoy our vacation and also check out the occasional deer. The kids loved the frog filled pond in the front and we all had fun paddling the same rowboat around. The only downside was the remote location. While it did afford us privacy - the city of Mariposa was 30 minutes away and Yosemite Valley was 1.5 hours away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The property is huge and clean.. my family enjoyed the pool. The kitchen is big, perfect for family that loves to cook.. the patio outside is perfect for barbecue.. The only thing that needs improvement is the road going to the property .. the property manager Carolyn respond so quick to my calls, Thank you!

Disappointing at Best

I was looking to go off grid for a week to get refreshed and found what I thought was the perfect VRBO on 30 acres of land in the middle of nowhere to go and do just that .....after I arrived I began to uncover that this house and property were not accurately described in the listing. - Second Rental Unit a stone throw from main house - Pool Guy showing up without warning first morning I was there - Hot tub cold and dirty (full of bugs) upon arrival and pool guy telling me that the owners were in process of replacing it - only spices in house were salt and pepper - door to outside in master would not lock - master shower lost hot water after 10 min - bugs and flys were insane outside due to the stagnate pond near the house - video camera on front porch was not disclosed...which from what I found online is not LEGAL without being disclosed - could not get wifi to work after trying multiple devices I left early and notified the owners of my disappointment once I had signal to which they pushed back and told me that I should have called them and that they would provide me with a credit for my stay upon inspection of the house which was 6 days ago now. I wanted to allow them plenty of time to honor their promise prior to writing this review. I have heard nothing from them at this time. I wish that I could have given you a glowing review of this property as I was so looking forward to my stay but alas that was not me experience nor was it even close!
