False advertisement
Condo is owned and rented out by owner. Not ran like a hotel. No front desk, no receptionist, and you are calling owners direct line. Place had dust bunnies and a lot of damages. Nothing luxurious about this place. The place is small and owners belongings were just stacked aside covered with sheets. The deposit was outrageous $300 which is more than amount to rent the place. “False Advertisement” because place was far from what was advertised and not to mention very unprofessional!

This is a FRAUD. We were checked in to another property and assigned a smaller room that we did not pay for. On our check in, we were not allowed to checked in because they were still installing a water heater. We finally was able to checked in at 10 PM. As soon as my wife used the shower room, the newly installed water heater caught fire - almost burn my wife. The king size bed that we pay for turned out to be a baby bed - I am serious. The owner turned out to be in the US owning several properties in 2 different buildings, that's why she was able to move us around. The care taker is a young girl who did not know what was happening. She demanded an additional 5,000 pesos upon our arrival. I should have complained but realized that it will just ruin my vacation. So I just SUCKED it up and tried to look for a new accommodation. But because of the holiday - no hotel or rooms were available in that area. I was so mad to myself for putting my wife into this situation. STAY AWAY from this property. Expedia should delist this property. If you're interested in more horror stories about this property, email me or call me.

Should be delisted. Grossly misrepresented
Worst property we’ve ever booked and should be delisted from hotels.con
- misrepresantation of a 2-BR unit which is just a 1-BR & a utility room with attached water closet and folding couch. Unit booked for 2 adults & 3 kids but kids had to sleep on makeshift beds charged at Php3000
- no check-in facility. website wasn’t clear that you had to call the caretaker hours before you arrive for the unit to be ready. Person speaks/understands limited english and has to call the actual owner overseas for every question
- Charges a security deposit of Php15,000/USD$300 to be returned 3 days after check-out. No credit facility, have to pay in cash. After mucb objection against the 3-day return, they agreed to return the deposit upon check-out. We did receive the deposit back, but not after several phone calls of them reasoning out why they can’t return it in the original currency we gave (AUD) etc etc & waiting half a day after check-out
- water heater not working at the supposed 2-BR
- shower head holder broken at the 1-BR. Had to hold the showerhead the while showering. not to mention grime coming off the shower curtain
- broken furnishing like duct tape patches on couches of both units
- funky smell from the lobby to the corridor to the kitchen & bathrooms
- room is never cool enough even with air-conditioner left open more than 24-hrs.
- so bad that we, who booked their so-called 2-br apt and their 1-br apt, checked in on the next door hotel after a day.

Do not make a reservation on this condo unit
Had a terrible experience with this reservation. When we checked in the caretaker does not know about us checking in on that date and the person (Ruth) who listed the unit to Orbitz can’t be reached by me nor by her son and her caretaker on that day. The unit has a hold that was placed by the owner of the unit so come to find out that Ruth who listed the condo was not the owner and just renting and Ruth has some financial issues with the owner. The administration of the condo building was nice enough to help us find another unit for us to stay because we have been in the building for almost 5 hours waiting for Ruth to call back but no response and also tried contacting Orbitz.
I am writing this review to warn guests not to book the condo unit in Eastwood listed by Ruth.
Orbitz in the other hand had resolved this issue afte several calls in several days and would like to thank Marie the supervisor, who helped me for finally resolving the issue.

We had a terrible experience from beginning of our stay to the end. The room posted online was not the one given to us.The unit was not clean the kitchen spelled like garbage, no cable, a/c in bedroom was as noisy as a freight train. Furniture in apartment dirty, old and extremely uncomfortable. Bedroom bed low and soft...could not get a good night’s sleep. Also, lack of hair dryer and toaster, among other items.
We gave the host a $100 cash security deposit, and were told we would get it back at checkout. We had a terrible time getting it back at checkout time.
We went to the Philippines, the trip we have been dreaming about. It was ruined by this condominium stay. We would like something to be done by Expedia to compensate us for this.

I think 1 star is too much. They deserve 0. We booked the unit 3 months ahead of time to avoid stress of any form. We expected to stay in place where we could relax but what happen is otherwise. Tired and exhausted (due to a long hours of travel) the next thing we want to do is to rest. But upon reaching the building, the guards were clueless of our presence, I dont mean a grandeous welcome but atleast someone from them inform our arrival,
so the guards asked us to wait for the owner but instead her coming.. two of her assistants led us to the unit. At the elevator and the hallway smells like a rotten rat up to our room. To our dismay, the unit we booked is far from the pictures in the ads. The space is very limited due to its oversized furniture excessive cabinets/drawers, gigantic and obsolete aircon which produces too much noise made our nights sleepless. The place is not well maintained from its dusty curtains and too many decor most of it are broken, its already summer but christmas decor are still on display. torn out sofa and dining chairs. The oven is not working filled with rusty pans good for disposal. We were informed that the owner was out of the country for medical issue but she should atleast assign or train somehow knowledgable enough incase technical issue need to fix. After all, business is business.As advertised, the unit has a high speed internet connection. Frankly, a total lie. This cause major inconvenience and hassle on our entire stay.

A hidden gem in manila Pt.2
Ruth was kind enough to hold the place for us while we toured Subic Bay for a few days. Again this is not a traditional hotel. It has a pool on the 5th floor and a gym that can be used. The condo also has tvs in every room but no cable television when we stayed there. it does have decent wifi but for some reason the tv in the main room would never connect. It has one bed in the master room, a couch that can be used as two single beds (our kids used that) and a small closet type room with a fold out sleeper couch that can be used for one person if desired. It also has a connecting bathroom/shower and its own tv on the wall. there was some minor cosmetic damage to the ceiling in some areas but Ruth explained she had just done some renovating and was in the process of doing more. The A/C unit in the main room has a habit of icing over so you need to turn it to low on occasion to thaw it out. But it kept the place nice and cool in the summer. It's a good price for the location. you could always stay at the luxury hotel next door for 200 a night but that's your choice. It did take longer than a couple weeks to get our deposit back mainly due to issues surrounding international bank to bank transfers but we managed to sort it out in the end. I recommend paypal for this transaction. I wouldn't recommend staying here for just a day or two because of the high deposit but if you plan on an extended stay it's worth the money.

Disappointing experience
Room is not a hotel as advertised. The place is run and rented out by the owner. The owner greeted us upon arrival as we called confused as to which building the condo was situated as there was no signage. Upon arrival we found there was no front desk or staff and number provided by Expedia was the owner. The condo was not two bedrooms as originally advertised when I made the booking which was disappointing as there was 4 of us and I had paid through Expedia for extra person. It was one bedroom and a closet space which I can only assume they considered 1 room with a fold out chair. If I had known the sleeping arrangements I would not have booked this condo. I paid deposit to the owner on "check-in" which equated to more than full booking price of our 3 night stay. After the first night we made decision to leave and find alternative accommodation due to discomfort of the sleeping situation. I will add the owner did attempt to remedy and gave option to stay at one of her other units in the building but we left as I able to find a luxurious hotel for the amount I paid in deposit. After week and half back in Australia I still haven't received my deposit back. The owner confirmed wire transfer had been initiated but after waiting patientially I expect my experience with this condo will continue to be a disappointing and bad one. I wasn't going to write about my experience if my deposit had been returned quickly however upon reflection other travellers should be made aware.
