Pensions in Mandalay

'Wat een uitzicht vanaf het dakterras waar ook een mini-zitzwembad is om af te koelen.Als enige gasten werden we door 10 man personeel omringd. Alleen de manager spreekt Engels. Hij is een erg charmante en gastvrije man met humor. Alleen de wifi kreeg hij niet aan de praat. Kamer heeft weer eens een andere inrichting met kleuren. Engelen en Boeddhabeelden aanwezig. Ook een massagestoel en een voetenmassageapparaat op de kamer. Hulpjes rijden je naar de ATM of naar de haven voor Minguntrip(doen!)....

'We booked the hotel because we had to catch a flight. Because of the price we didn't expect much. We got a smoking room because there was no other room available. Smelled like somebody was constantly smoking under my bed. Room was really outdated and definatly needs upgrading/dating. Floor looks filthy. Staff was however verry nice, friendly and helpfull... After upgrading i would book it again for one night. Otherwhile i won't. Breakfast was ok.'

'Clean modern hotel, great staff. Sometimes they couldn't understand me, but then they would call in someone who could speak better English. I stay here four days, took a trip the staff helped organize and then returned to this hotel till I left Mandalay. I started walking around the area. Stores and restaurants were close so I could avoid the healthy taxi prices when I was hungry. The road is torn up in front of the hotel but I feel sure it will be reapaired eventually. Try the shaved ice cream...

'Rustig gelegen luxe hotel in buitenwijk. Vriendelijk personeel, goede service. Gratis happy hour naast het zwemdok. Mooie ruime kamer met alle voorzieningen. Uitgebreid buffet ontbijt. Aanbevolen restaurant in het hotel. Goede WiFi in gans hotel.'

'Het hotel is goed gelegen en de service is uitstekend. Kamer was ruim en net en de opmaak verliep vlot en correct. Er is een wisselkantoor in het hotel dat de juiste koers toepast. Wij waren hier vijf nachten en zouden er terugkomen. Het restaurant is niet op het niveau van de andere diensten. Meestal waren de gerechten lauw, ook bij het ontbijt. En je krijgt niet wat het menu vermeldt: vervang vegetable door ajuin vb backed fish with celeri = vel gestoofde ajuin met wat groene bonen en weinig...

'I stayed here for 23 nights. their service was impeccable! The room was big and nice, the staff was extremely friendly., but unfortunately was not able to spend much time in the lounge, skybar and swimming pool etc. , however I was very happy to spent my holiday and business time there. (hotel may need to improve one thing, Mosquitoes were a bit more)'
