'This small hotel is located next to the River Wyre and has some lovely rooms. I stayed 4 night with them at 75 pounds per night including breakfast. The room was very nice, with lovely large bed, view of the river and great shower. The room was recently re-done and has great wallpaper. 'Have been wanting to stay here for years and it was well worth the wait. We were welcomed by Christina who made us feel at home and showed us to our room (Ward's Stone) which was immaculate, spacious and has a large bathroom with rainfall shower. "The hotel should ensure housekeeping standards are improved. In particular the finer details, the room(s) were looking a little tired around the edges, in particular the bathroom. While there were some issues with housekeeping, what makes a good stay great is the way it is resolved and the attitude of the team that works front of house. In this case the hotel team member Edward was above and beyond, understanding and empathetic, not defensive and making every effort to ensure a good stay. He was the reason I reviewed the stay as excellent, his service made the difference in rating. Thank you."
