'For a 1* pension hotel the room I had as a solo traveller was superb ! Good sized room, sink, fridge, and balcony was just perfect. Also the property has clearly been renovated as everything appeared new and the common WC/ shower rooms are very modern with a very hot power shower. Raphael and Carlos keep the property spotlessly clean and do a great job. I highly recommend Pension Alcala, but its best to try and book a room with a balcony '

'Les personnes qui travaillent dans ce petit hôtel sont charmantes. Le petit-déjeuner en compagnie des autres hôtes était un plaisir! La literie est très confortable. L’endroit est calme. À recommander! Seul bémol, il n’y a pas beaucoup d’options de restauration dans le village, mieux vaut manger ailleurs avant de rentrer. '

'Somewhat frustrating start with our initial room not having a working stove or tv remote and somewhat unused bath with dark water. The reception staff were very helpful and changed the room quickly, to a much better room. Lady on reception was helpful with booking tours around the island and guiding us on shops and areas of interest. Generally good but the local area seems remote with only a local shop and pharmacy within walking distance. Hiring a car mandatory in my view. '

'sehr schöne und sehr saubere Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage fernab vom Massentourismus; sehr freundliche Vermieterin und über WhatsApp immer erreichbar Mietwagen erforderlich, damit ist aber dank schneller Anbindung an die TF1 die ganze Insel gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.'

'Even though we arrived at the place in the middle of the night due to a delayed flight, thanks to the instructions and photos sent via WhatsApp we quickly found it without any problem. The apartment is charming and we felt at home there throughout our stay (we have a similar sofa :-) Completely different from hotels that all look similar.I was surprised by the apartment's amenities; it had everything you could need—cleaning products, a vacuum cleaner, an iron (!), shopping bags, and cooking...
