We paid $800 to upgrade our room when our daughter decided to come with us. The hotel insisted we pay more once we got there. It was another $200 to add her. They acted like we were inconveniencing them and trying to “pull a fast one.” Basically, no customer service and just wanted to make more money off us. Also, they were ridiculously inflexible. They wouldn’t let us have an uber come get us at the lobby. Instead we had to walk 5 mins to the gate. Our daughter sprained her ankle and they still made us walk. Also, food was not good and drinks costs $20 each. They jack up prices for the non-all inclusive guests. But the all-inclusive isn’t worth it because they use bottom shelf liquor. And you had to pay if you wanted even mid-level brands. Positive was Jaime at the beach pool bar. Also, breakfast at the Grande Solmar was good and not crazy high price fix. All in all, we definitely won’t go back.
