Why not experience a unique and private stay with epic views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills in the neighborhood of Beachwood Canyon! Beachwood Canyon is a community in the Hollywood Hills, in the northern portion of Hollywood.. The upper portion of the canyon is the Hollywoodland community that was advertised in the 1920s by the original of what is now known as the Hollywood Sign. The neighborhood features its own Beachwood Cafe and Market, florist and stables. Book a stay now at our Buddha's Secret Stairs! ** For larger groups we also have a sister unit that sleeps 3-4 w kitchenette called the "Secret Stairs Studio"

Our large 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment w outdoor private patio fully stocked kitchen, and scenic living area boasting epic views of downtown LA tucked in the Hollywood Hills of Beachwood Canyon and steps from the iconic Saroyan Stairs. Plus more stair workouts such as the Belden/Woodshire stairs. This is a celebrity neighborhood so you'll never know who you'll see walking their dog. Another great workout is a 30 min hike to the iconic Hollywood Sign and Lake Hollywood Park. Other nearby sites are Hollywood Walk of Fame, Runyan Canyon, Universal Studios and Griffith Park 15 min drive away.

Property is managed by iTrip Los Angeles. Owner lives in the main house with their dogs. This second level home is all for you to enjoy w epic views in our primary bedroom, patio/balcony and living spaces is below the main house and there are shared walls but they are very mindful. We are fully transparent that you are renting a private second level unit attached to the house above and may hear occasional noises above you and their dogs barking when you first arrive.

** Due to stairs along the path this apartment is not suitable for small children or those with mobility issues.

Guests are welcome to explore the outdoor back gardens and gazebo, but please note that the path is uneven and you may get a visit from the owner's dogs.

Residential Street Parking Only (min 1 car). No RV's, trailers or hitches. Hollywood Hills streets are well-known to be very narrow and windy.

HOUSE RULES:

It is our mission to ensure that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us! This is a permitted vacation rental with the City of LA. We also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them as well as all your guests prior to confirming your reservation.

* Minimum age policy is 25 years old. Valid photo ID will be required, as well as names and ages of all your Guests. (exceptions will be considered with a refundable $1000 security deposit that will be completed via email with your credit card authorization after your booking)

* Check-in is after 4 pm | Check out is at 11 am

MAX NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS ( 2 people) Extra Guest Fee $75/per guest per night
The Property is to be occupied by no more than the maximum sleep number stated on reservation unless approved in writing by Management. If Guest exceeds the occupancy limit and falsifies occupancy information at the time of reservation, Guest shall be subject to eviction. "Occupants" includes small children, infants and any and all visitors. If more than the maximum number is found to be occupying the Property at any time, you agree that a charge of $100 per person/per day will be made to your credit card. Additionally, this Agreement may be immediately terminated without a refund of any amounts paid. No Exceptions.

NO PARTIES OR EVENTS - due to the City of LA's strict ban of parties of large groups we need exact headcounts of your guests at all times. Outside visitors not permitted.

A party is defined as any combination of the following; ANY loud noise and/or excessive drinking that is disruptive to neighboring houses and/or guests outnumbering the maximum amount permitted as defined above. A party will result in an immediate eviction from the property with no refund given under any circumstance. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by iTrip Vacations Hollywood in writing prior to the arrival date.

NEIGHBOR COMPLAINTS
Actions by guests that result in neighbor complaints or police being called to the Property will result in a minimum $250 charge, which charge will be used to deal with legal issues and fines.

NOISE ORDINANCE: 10 pm – 7 am.

Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. The property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that you and our whole community can enjoy a restful night's sleep. We are dedicated to protecting our guests and neighbors from bothersome levels of noise.

Perfect stay in the Hollywood Hills
Our son is at Gnomon, a college specializing in animation and computer aided design in the heart of Hollywood. Our stay at this lovely one bedroom apartment high in the hills but only 10 minutes or less from our son was absolutely perfect. We love to hike and less than 200 yards from this place was a trail that led down to the Hollywood reservoir or up to Mulholland drive. The view was lovely, the night air cool and the surroundings tranquil. one couldn't ask for anything more.

Secluded location, lovely views
We loved our short stay at the Buddha Bungalow, a peaceful spot with fabulous views. The apartment is spacious and clean, with Chinese/Asian furnishings and decorations - and of course the giant Buddha on the patio. It has a full kitchen with everything you could need, and a large bathroom. Check-in was easy. The road to the property is steep, narrow and winding. You'll need to park right up to the edge of the street to let cars pass, and let passengers out first. (It's so tight that when a neighbor had a party one night we had to fold our cars' wing mirrors in to get past their visitors!) We enjoyed the local neighborhood, especially "Franklin Village" (at the bottom of Birchwood Canyon - a lively area with restaurants, markets and even a comedy club) and we found the location to be a good base for visiting LA area sights and museums. Guests should be aware that the property is not managed directly by the hosts (we did not meet them) but a third party management company ("iTrip") who have their own rules and procedures independent of vrbo, such as requiring copies of drivers licenses in order to book. We had an problem with iTrip's automated emails which was quickly resolved, but it was a reminder that we were working through another layer. No doubt iTrip provides a valuable service to hosts, but we missed the personal touch that we've experienced staying in other vrbo properties.

Dream Setting in the Beautiful Hollywood Hills
This is everything we wanted for our stay in the beautiful and secluded Hollywood Hills. The location was ideal - far up in the Hills, just a short walk to a clear view at the base of the Hollywood sign. It was quiet and peaceful, especially at night, with the sounds of nature the perfect backdrop for the spectacular view of the LA skyline right off the patio. Mornings included a scenic walk down the secret stairs to breakfast at the Beachwood Cafe. Afternoons included another walk, this time just up the hill to the never-ending hiking trails in the Hollywood Hills & Griffith Park. Honestly, between the well-appointed kitchen, the proximity to the Beachwood Cafe and Beachwood Market (where they have everything you'd need, including fresh cut steaks), and walkable access to the endless hiking trails, you would really not need a car while staying here. And with that view - why would you ever leave? The property was comfortable, more than enough space for the 2 of us. We never felt on top of each other, and the patio off the bedroom was VERY spacious. It wasn't just a token little patio - it was truly a living space. There's an enormous TV in the family room, with all the channels you'd expect to have at home. The wi-fi worked great, which came in handy while trying to get a little work done. I was anxious about parking high up in the windy narrow streets, but it was truly not an issue at all. This property is perfect for a couple's escape in the Hollywood Hills.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and we absolutely loved the place! The view from the patio was incredible. Driving in the neighborhood you could see the Hollywood sign which it’s so cool to see.

Great Location
Very peaceful and enjoyable stay in a spacious one bedroom (apt 2) in a quiet neighborhood with lovely view and garden. Same as other comments of steps to cart luggage, narrow winding access road and could hear owners and dog above but intermittently and during the day or early evening hours. Owner's small dog came in the apt when I was leaving and barked startling me at first but quickly backed off or was called. Not a problem, just be aware dog may be around. Recommend Beachwood Cafe and next door market at the foot of the hill for supplies.
