'The room was immaculate! It housed all 11 guests comfortably. It truly was beautiful and a great fit for a large party. The amenities in the room are unmatched in comparison to standard hotels. The only thing I wish was different was the parking. It’s very limited but there is free parking outside of the hotel, but the slopes are super steep and not guaranteed. Otherwise an amazing place with friendly attentive staff. I will be booking here again.'

'Lovely hotel unique and very good staff The only recommendations are that they have to give hotel guests prefference in one of the restaurants and make up the beds every day and close the corridor for people who are not staying in the hotel. Very noisy in the corridors in the evening '

There is a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and depending on the day for dinner too, though beware, the waffles are pretty salty compared with European tastes, but if you like…'

'I really wanted to like this stay because of the reviews/price. It was really difficult to get parking daily as well as effective room servicing. When I checked in it took 40 minutes with about 30-40 people in line. I wanted to shower and found there was only shampoo, no conditioner or shower gel. I called to have refilled but they didn’t do it. The amenities are good but they are very packed. You can hear your neighbors and their kids (good for families, maybe not so for a lovers retreat). 'We read some questionable reviews before staying here. I'm not sure if they reviewed the wrong property or what, because we have nothing but good things to say about this place. The rooms were extremely clean. Beds were comfortable. The lobby and restaurants looked very upscale. The pool area was wonderful. The pool was huge and they did a great job maintaining the area (lights all around, very island feel to the pool area). The staff was extremely helpful when we needed more washcloths. ...

'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'
