'The room was unclean, the air con barely worked and was noisy, and the noise from other rooms and doors slamming was ridiculous. I made a specific request that I needed a quiet room for sleep as I had an early start (up at 4am), this request clearly was not met. We left before 10pm and found somewhere else to stay.'

'We booked the poolside superior studio room for our short break at Palm Cove. The studio was clean and free of odours. It was furnished with a king size bed and a small walk-wardrobe. The bathroom was spacious and well lit, and there were no musty old bathroom smells, which is a bonus! A bus stop conveniently located around the corner and walking distance to the beach and stretch of cafes and restaurants on the main road. We didn't use the pool but it was popular with the kids staying at this...

'Unfortunately room.was not cleaned properly on arrival. I was too tired though to say anything. The staff were good though. Just a request to ensure a room is clean before a new guest. Was told area was not so safe to walk alone at night, which is sad as I love Cairns. Thank you.'
