'Amazing stay at Safari lodge. Right in middle of the beautiful rainforest. Super friendly and helpful staff. 10 min walk to the beach. Cabin is very nicely integrated into surroundings. General kitchen and showers are perfect, clean and well equipped. Highly recommended.'

'Not many hostels in Hervey Bay but if you’re looking for an eco-friendly option this is the place. The girl at reception was nice, helped me out with some things and just good chat. Rooms are clean although a bit worn down. But then again it has pretty affordable pricing. Enough amenities to get your solo travel sorted out and nearby the beach.'

'To say this stay was phenomenal would be an understatement! We weren’t sure exactly what to expect on the island before we arrived but we were pleasantly surprised by everything. Travel was very easy on the ferry with a prearranged ticket and a person to greet us on Heron Island. We were then picked up on the beach on Heron Island, where we had a fun 20 minute boat ride to Wilson.
