Our beautiful one-acre lush tropical paradise is located south of Hilo and near Kea'au and Pahoa Villages in the rainforest..
The studio apt. is upstairs has a great deck to view garden. Follow sidewalks to Tropical gardens at back of house,coconut palms, orchids , anthuriums and lush tropical plants.
A piece of paradise to call home while you are on the Big Island. Go to sleep with frogs chirping and stars so bright you could almost touch them. Wake up to birds singing and complimentary Hawaiian coffee . Pamper yourself, shower in our collected rainwater.
Automatic quotes for 1 bedroom are for 1-2 guest.
We live on property behind the rental.
Please read house rules in apt. It is customary to remove shoes upon entering the apt.

Overall, my stay was adequate. The rental appears to be a hotel room with a minor conversion of a closet into a "kitchenette" area with a mini fridge and some utensils/bowls/plates. There is a microwave and toaster as well as a small coffee maker. I was expecting an actual kitchen to cook in but rereading the amenities, I'm not actually seeing Oven listed. I think the name of the rental "studio apartment" led me to believe it was a full apartment. The room needs an upgrade as the carpet seems well used and the room itself smells like cigerette smoke. I think if I had awareness that I'd be washing my dishes in the bathroom sink, I'd have different expectations of what I was renting and would have chosen differently.

Listing was inaccurate, no washer available and no oven. I was compensated for the lack of a washer. I was awakened by loud footsteps heard fromthe upstairs room, beginning at 10:30 pm, every night. The ceiling sounded like it was weak. Friendly owners and beautiful yard

Clean and the amenities are well covered and thought out. What you might not have thought of they probably have. Masks for snorkeling, beach chairs and foam noodles. I didn’t recall that there is not a stove but there was a nice bbq that we cooked the Korean shortribs we bought at KTA. We bought things we shouldn’t have but because we forgot there was no way kitchen in the unit but we had lots of fun sitting on the porch eating papayas and having friendly geckos all around. Beautiful gardens. And close to many things.
We saw 3-6 friendly geckos each morning. Coming up to our table top to check out our food

Quaint room with comfy bed, dishes, utensils, towels, and bug spray. Friendly hosts who made beautiful paintings & posted them all around the room. Also have TV with free Netflix access, free parking on gravel lot, and personalized surfboard welcome sign. About a 20-min from national park.

Bed not comfortable There was chirping all night, some type of sound effect thing they have.Neighbor was loud. We could hear her talking through the walls. Someone above us walking in the middle of the night. It was so loud. It smelled weird like dog or something. Service was terrible even with the WiFi. Over all it is an okay place to stay. I think it’s okay for the price, but I think the bed and the noises could have been avoided. The host was nice and was going to let us do an early check in which was nice of her. We ended up keeping ourselves busy until it was time to check in.

It had a neat tree house feel and a magical atmosphere. I really loved how it felt like going into a secret garden. If you’re not looking for it, you can almost miss it from the road because of the beautiful plants that shelter it from the road. It was a peaceful stay.

What a beautiful sanctuary. What staying a night in Hawaii should feel like. Meditating sounds of frogs through the night and Geckos sunbathing in the morning sun. We’ll be back! Hosts were friendly and welcoming and I give this place a 10!

"Paradies" mit Fehlern! Leider können wir die enthusiastischen Beurteilungen hier nicht teilen! Das Ganze hier ist zwar sehr nett und künstlerisch gestaltet und alles ist auch sauber und ordentlich und der Preis ist für Hawaii auch ganz ok, ABER: - schlechte Lage,  da sehr weit von Restaurants und Supermärkten entfernt - KEINE KLIMAANLAGE (darauf sollte in der Beschreibung hingewiesen werden) trotz Ventilator sehr sehr warm im Zimmer und extrem hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. Alles im Zimmer riecht modrig und ist zum Teil schimmlig (Duschvorhang, Matratze) - Matratze ist sehr weich und durchgelegen - keine Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit für Kleidung ( kein Schrank oä, nur eine kleine Kommode) - Geschirrspülen nur im Bad möglich - Waschmaschine steht in der Unterkunftsbeschreibung, ist aber nicht vorhanden - Alles extrem hellhörig - kein Kontakt zu Vermieter, daher auch keinerlei Tipps oder Empfehlungen - alles sehr sehr beengt, da kleines Zimmer - sehr schwacher Wasserdruck in der Dusche - Terrassenstühle aus weichen Plastik und verbiegen sich daher unter einen ... und noch ein paar Dinge mehr! Also insgesamt würden wir uns beim nächsten Mal was anderes suchen. SORRY

Tucked away in a great neighborhood, close enough to Hilo for ease of travel while far enough to feel secluded. Watching the sunrise every morning with the birds singing was a treat. The lack of AC would be unbearable during the day, but who stays in their room during the day on vacation anyway? Perfectly comfortable to sleep at night with windows open and fan on..

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einer ruhigen tropischen Lage. Wir hatten ein Apartment im oberen Stock und dazugehörig eine Terrasse. Insgesamt besitzt das Haus 4 Apartments. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet.

It was a fantastic location. The only thing I would say is that there should be a designated smoking area away from building. With windows open it is hard to not breathe it when right below your window. The homey touches were wonderful.
