Think of this cozy renovated 1940s desert cottage located just 9 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park as your home away from home. Located near the center of Joshua Tree Village, this 2-bedroom property has a fully-equipped kitchen, dedicated office space and a comfy backyard to enjoy. Perfect for couples, friends or small families. After a day experiencing the desert, relax in the hot tub, by the pool, or by the fire pit with a glass of wine. You’ll fall in love with the Cozy Coyote.

This is a beautiful historic homestead property that has been lovingly restored and updated. It's a 7 minute walk to The Village and we have a hot tub on the patio in the back.

Enjoy the cowboy pool and mountain views from the back yard of this cozy desert cottage, which features a dedicated office with an adjustable sit/stand desk and high speed cable internet.

You will love staying in our fully fenced backyard. We have a fully stocked kitchen that includes a gas range oven, as well as an outdoor dining table and chairs for you to enjoy your meals outside.

Imagine yourself relaxing in our Hammock village. A propane outdoor fire-pit will keep you warm and an outdoor gas grill will ensure that you can enjoy a beautiful evening outside.

With individual Mini Split cooling and heating control, you're never far from the perfect temperature. The Cozy Coyote also has a selection of reading materials, games, and puzzles available to help you relax and bond with family and friends. We have a new LG stack washer and dryer on the premises so you can pack light and travel with ease.

Plenty of parking for 3 cars in the front driveway area. Park anywhere in front of house off the street.

Check-In is via personal smart lock code sent to you prior to arrival.

Other things to note:
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the house.

Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet. We are on a septic system.

Please be respectful of the neighborhood with outdoor noise and please respect the 10pm noise curfew.

You must let us know if a pet will be joining you and enter them in the reservation. There is a $50 per pet fee. Please be a mindful pet owner, respect the property, and clean up after your pet in the back yard. Any significant damages or excessive cleaning resulting from pets could incur additional charges.

No glass cups or bottles in the back yard please.

Cowboy pool available April - September. Pool/spa service person will be on site during the day on Mondays.

Additional charges may be assessed if guest actions result in hot tub or pool needing to be drained.

We mitigate bugs as much as possible and have the house professionally cleaned after each guest. However, critters are part of life in the desert and we can't entirely avoid the occasional critter breaking in.

The property was as described and our host was so kind and super responsive! We loved having a pet-friendly place (also fully fenced in) but just be sure you are careful with your furry friends as we had a number of stickers in their paws, which was of course no fault of the host of course but just mentioning! Large washer and dryer and lots of extra bedding and towels if needed.

This is a terrific property. Very clean, cutely decorated. Charming. Very pet friendly - no restrictions on where they could be. Very convenient near entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. A store within walking distance to grab anything you forgot. Felt very comfortable and cozy. The owner was friendly and responsive, and made check-in very easy. The only downside was that there was some type of weed growing in the backyard/front yard that dropped these very sharp needle-like burrs. We couldn't let the dog in the back yard at all because the burrs would stick in her paws. Other than that, property was great!!

Good Location

Perfect weekend getaway for me, my wife and our small dog. Short drive to the park entrance, local distillery and farmers market on Saturday. Property is well maintained and we enjoyed the jacuzzi during the chilly winter evenings. No TV allowed for an almost completely unplugged weekend. We did not find any thorns in the yard as mentioned by a previous reviewer, perhaps that's a summer thing.

Cute cottage right in town

This spot is right in town and easy to navigate to even at dusk. The backyard is fenced in, private, and set-up well. Small driveway accomodates 2-cars but street parking is also an option.

It was in a perfect location to get to the park. It was very comfortable inside and the backyard had everything you could want to relax during the day or night. The kitchen was stocked and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at this property. We came right at the turn of the season so the yard hadn’t been cleaned up or the cowboy pool ready which is one of the main reasons we chose this property. I reached out to Dean after check in and he had the yard cleaned up and the pool filled the very next day! The hot tub was amazing for cool desert nights and is setup year round. The reason I put 3/5 stars on location is due to light and noise pollution. There’s a DG next door with bright lights all around its exterior and the house is half a block from 29 Palms Hwy. It is a very short drive to JTNP visitor center though which was convenient and we spent some time stargazing out there instead. The beds are comfortable and the layout is unique. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Great Vacation Spot

Loved the easy check-in and check-out process. The Cozy Coyote is a hidden jewel in Joshua Tree, and will definitely book again. This is a good place to come with pets and no hidden fees. House is well stocked with basic necessities. No Tv.s in house but the wifi is good.

Great getaway! Very clean and backyard was fantastic with the jacuzzi and fire pit. Very close to Joshua tree national park and easy to get around. We loved all the hikes and going to pioneertown! Definitely would stay again!

Great little property

Overall it’s a great location, small and cozy. The hot tub was so nice to have. The only downside was the backyard was quite rough though, we found class, a razor blade, etc. also if you have pets watch out for a thousand little prickers from the weeds. We are constantly pulling them out of their paw pads and our own shoes, hopefully the owner can do something about them.
