Kastelen in Insch

'This is a gem in the cute little village in Alford. The staff, rooms, bar and restaurant were all great. Highly recommend this hotel.'

'I was completely shocked when we arrived and saw the state of this hotel. Run down, dirty, just unacceptable. There was supposed to be a dining room when I booked the rooms, but this closed between booking and arrival with no notice. I felt that the security of this place left much to be desired. Had to get the receptionist to show me how to lock the door ("old school: you have to pull the door towards you as you insert key into lock...!") As well, no screens on windows and windows left open to...

'Pretty remote. Friendly & helpful staff, Not preferrable if you are in a hurry: processes go relatively slow. Very beautiful site and hotel.'

'Personeel erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ietwat meer uitleg over de grote van de kamers zou een suggestie zijn. Verder prettig hotel en voldoende parkeergelegenheid. '

'All together a lovely place to stay with very welcoming hosts. thank you very much.'

'Other guests gave this hotel a 10/10 review so I had high expectations. What a great experience. The room is not your typical business-like hotel room but decorated as a historic room. It was a large room with comfortable chairs and a large bed. The owners were lovely, friendly people and cooked us a great, fresh breakfast in the morning. If you are tired of boring hotels, I recommend you to visit Disblair House '
