'Well equipped nice property. Great view! Screened patio to enjoy morning coffee. Don’t miss Grandfather Mountain winery. Nice to have air conditioning and washer dryer on property. One standup shower was plenty for the family. Located close to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock.'

'This was our second stay at the Secret Shack and we can’t say enough good things. Chris is an amazing host and everything was better than expected. Many upgrades since our last stay including new furniture, appliances, and a gas fireplace were fantastic. The view is amazing and so cool to wake up to in the master bedroom. Plenty of towels and the bed linens are super comfortable. The hot tub is a nice touch as many smaller properties lack this. We’d give more stars if we could and would love to...

'Planned for my Birthday and it was amazing! Very quiet and serial. Beautiful view of the lake. The cabin itself was very clean but the decks could have been a bit cleaner, full of spider nests on the windows and chairs. All in all still worthy of a definite 5 star. Was very enjoyable!'

'This was such a great property for our family! The variety of available water craft (kayaks, SUP, floats) was amazing. Being on a little cove off the main lake meant that we didn’t have to deal with a ton of noise and wake from boats. The house had everything we needed for a week away. We can’t wait to come back again next summer! '

'Easy access and great location— 5 minutes from family and downtown. Bed and furniture very comfortable, hardwood floors and tile beautiful and tastefully decorated. All kitchen appliances including a dishwasher and ice maker, laundry on-site. Nice yard and easy access for loading and unloading suitcases and supplies. Best booking we’ve made…clean and accommodating…'
