'Friendly staff, room was pleasant however there was a constant humming noise from the roof space as if an extractor fan was on all night. Breakfast was good. Overall I’m likely to stay again but will pack ear plugs!'

'We had a really excellent 5 day stay. Our room (3) was huge with 2 kingsize beds and a large sofa. Bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good with excellent friendly, prompt service. A really good location for visiting the area and not too busy. Parking was never a problem. It would have been useful to have some plug-in bed side lights rather than battery operated nightlights. 'Zeer mooi, midden in de natuur zoals je dat in Engeland verwacht, gelegen cottages. Gezellig aangekleed en van alle gemakken voorzien. Bij aankomst bloemen, taart, wijn en wat basis boodschappen. Zo word je niet overal welkom geheten. Cottage is onderdeel van Vindolanda Trust, dus je kan ook gratis naar aantal aanbevelingswaardige musea waarvan er 1 is gelegen op terrein naast het verblijf (opgraving Vindolanda). Top!'

'I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own.
