'The Manistique Sands was a wonderful surprise. Rooms appear to have recently been redone with updated bathrooms, decor, and beds. Even with exterior room doors, we did not hear other travelers. A beautiful perk was that the beach featured in their ads is actually private access. It’s just across the two-lane highway and gave a lively view of Lake Michigan. We did not use the pool or take advantage of the grab and go breakfast, although the breakfast hours and offerings appeared...

'The house was clean, and there were nearby stores if you needed something urgently. However, the main issue was that the entire living room wall power outlets were short-circuited, preventing access to the TV and power outlets in that room and one of the bedrooms. The recliner couches were also unresponsive. I had to reach out to the owner and inform them that the situation was becoming too challenging for us to figure out whether the TV or power outlets were working. It took me about an hour or...

'This is nothing more than some person‘s open yard along a state highway. There’s absolutely no way in this world. I was gonna set my tent up in some random backyard.'

'I guess this could pass as a campsite. If you don’t mind being surrounded by trailers and storage vehicles on the side of a busy rural highway. If you are looking for an up north Mi camping experience you are hereby forwarned this is not the most scenic campsite! Not mad, just disappointed.But everyone’s gotta make a buck I guess. We decided to not stay the night and instead made the 6 hour trek home a day early. '

'Beautiful, quiet, well-equipped spacious 1 bed-room very near Lake Michigan. Host was delightful to talk to. We had a very easy stay. We used the fire pit and the outdoor picnic table and umbrella. The kitchen was great, plenty of windows for air flow, lots of fans in each room, everything so clean and comfortable. There is a flight of 15 stairs to get up to the apartment. Bring your water shoes if you plan to swim as the shores are rocky. We will definitely be back!'
