Fantastic Vacation House on Private Lake in Fort Lauderdale

This great vacation house is situated on a private lake in Fort Lauderdale; the view from the back is of the lake and unrestricted. The house is located in a residential neighborhood; however, other houses in the area are not permitted to use the lake. It is a unique location in South Florida. You may fish at the lake. The house is fully furnished, arrive with your suitcase for a great vacation, everything else is provided. 10 mins from Fort Lauderdale Airport, 15 mins from the beach, 5 mins from Las Olas and downtown. It's the perfect spot to enjoy South Florida. If you wish, you also have the option to reserve water ski lessons. We operate a water ski school on the lake (located well away from the house), but you can see the skiers out on the water from your home as you enjoy breakfast or relax by the pool.

From luxury mega yachts to high-performance speedboats, stretch limousines, sports cars, and the finest resorts to multi-million dollar estates, South Florida has the beauty and adventure that truly belongs in the movies.
Looking for a relaxing lunch? With some 3,000 restaurants, you can dine on a distinct cuisine at every meal. If the beach is calling, you will easily find a spot with more than 23 miles of sand and surf and the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. If diving is more your forte, you will find 73 artificial reefs. Fort Lauderdale is the wreck dive site capital of the United States.

There are over 12 shopping malls and over 1,000 specialty retail shops. You can find everything you want from the finest merchandise to the bargains of the flea markets.

Had a great stay! Accomodations are dated but clean and has everything you could need. The yard is very private with a great pool area. The lake offered hours of shore fishing. And best of all the property is close to everything from Hollywood up to Pompano.

This is an older home but it is VERY CLEAN, so you feel very comfortable and can just relax. Some VRBO's are very fancy and you feel like you might break something. Ann is caring and communicated well with us. The house and family has an interesting history. We had a great time and will stay again when we are in the area.

This house is exactly the way it is described in words and photos. Except it's even better. The hosts are extremely responsive and concerned with their guests' comfort.Every area of the house is comfortable and the house is spotless inside and out. Additionally, they've included helpful touches like ample charging ports, plenty of towels and toiletries, and a detailed guide so that you'll be able to find the answer to just about any question you have.I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend this house to anyone visiting the Fort Lauderdale area!

Wonderful stay!

My family and I loved our stay here! If anything, the pictures and description are modest compared to how lovely the home is! The pool was so refreshing and clean and the lake was incredible. There were so many friendly lizards, iguanas and birds around the property that were so fun to watch! The screened in porch area was always well shaded and cool. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels for use. The sunsets shown in the pictures are nightly! We couldn’t be happier with our stay. Thank you!!

Great stay!

What a relaxing get away, can’t beat the view and privacy! Lots of amenities provided, which was a welcomed surprise! My only advice is to remember you’re staying by a lake in Florida… don’t be like me and forget that comes with bugs. Other than a few jumpscares from nature, this was a perfect stay!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit , es war alles so wie in der Beschreibung beschrieben.Ein wirklich tolles Ferienhaus, mit Waschmaschine und Trockner und sonst allem was man so braucht. Die Autobahn hat man nach einiger Zeit auch nicht mehr gehört.Ann die Besitzerin war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns jederzeit gute Tipps gegeben.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

The house and surrounding property were as described and reviewed - delightful! Charming Florida home with pool overlooking lake. Our stay was great. We are fishermen, so it would be nice to have a two-person deck or platform out to where that concrete goes out to for fishing I would stay there again and we caught fish in the lake of course we didn't keep any but we caught and released and it was fun

It was a perfect little property. About a 15-20 minute drive into Ft Lauderdale/to the beach. We loved watching the iguanas in the back yard. Exactly the get away we needed. Quick reply from the owners when we reached out. Extremely easy checkout process. Definitely recommend a stay!

Absolutely beautiful home! Very relaxing back yard and beautiful sunsets.

This location is close to airport and the house is very clean and well equiped. Howevever, the backyard is where we lived the whole time we were their. The pool is great, lots of wildlife to watch, and the screened in patio makes it very comfortable to eat and sit outside no matter what the weather is! Thank you so much for the use of your house!

A little piece of paradise!

We had a family get-together for 6 days, starting on Thanksgiving Day. Loved the proximity to the airport....we were there in minutes. Ann and John allowed us early check-in which made it easy for us to get in and settled. We had perfect weather (80's every day) and the pool was the perfect temperature. We avoided eating out for 6 days, as we had everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinners in the kitchen. We spent most of our time outside, either at the pool or in the screened porch. Loved the lake and the wildlife, and watching the waterskiing. The iguanas were cool...they like basking in the sun on the pool concrete, but are peaceful and don't care much if you're swimming. Beds and sheets were amazing. We all said they were better than most expensive hotels we've been to. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's not new...not fancy... but if you're looking for a spacious place for 4 (or more if you use the rollaway bed or pull-out sofa) it's perfect. Nice quiet neighborhood that feels safe. Thanks for a great getaway!

Beautiful escape in a unique place

We really enjoyed Ann’s quiet oasis by the lake. Everything you need is there from fishing poles to beach chairs to tennis rackets. Lots of towels and comfortable beds and linens. There is washer & dryer to help if you want to pack lighter and redo outfits. Roku tv in living room was so nice. The pool was lots of fun and the lizards who visit the yard daily were so fun to watch. Easy check in and check out and thanks so much to Ann for allowing a flexible check out. That meant so much to us and proves she cares about the people who stay with her and their needs. We highly recommend this stay for you and your family.
