Agriturismos in Fern Acres

'I recently spent five nights here (mid July) while solo hiking Volcanoes National Park (30 minutes away) and exploring the Hilo area. I would totally stay here again by myself or with my significant other. This was a beautiful and fun compliment to spending all day outside - being screened in and protected from the rain, but otherwise immersed in outdoor Hawaii. The garden is beautiful, and the property felt very private and safe to me. The outdoor shower was nice and hot - perfect after a...

'No laundry facility. The place is overall pretty old'

'4 sterren prijs/ 3 sterren kwaliteit'

'The house was nice generally but the room I stayed in was very musty and smelled like cigarettes. The towels were horribly musty. It’s a must to use bleach on hotel towels but these smelled like it was not being used. The room mattress was way too soft for me. Finally, they required a $200 deposit which was not for incidentals but “in case there’s damage to the room”'

'Property could do with a good renovation but prob one of the best in Hilo. It’s tight next to an abandoned hotel and homeless/ rough sleepers are all over the place. We chose to self park our rental which was offsite in a sketchy gravel parking lot. This was not attended and had heaps of pot holes. There were also a lot of homeless people sleeping in their car. In saying all that. The staff were amazing and accommodating with any and all requests we had. Very friendly all of them just let down...

'Beautiful grounds. The email before our stay regarding check-in was complete and clear. The room was adequate, although it was quite humid with no AC or dehumidifier. Nice peaceful setting though, and a comfortable bed. Good spot close to Kileuea.'

'Room was as shown in photos. Worked perfect for my husband and I. Check in was quick and easy was met as we arrived.'

'The cottage was very clean and full of household items ready for use. It's a good thing i wake up around 5am because there's a Brahma (seemed like it) rooster next door that helps with the wake up process, hehehe. No need to set your alarm on your phone. The place was breezy once I opened all the windows. Truly a Hawaii experience. Thank you host!'

'The room was immaculate. Check-in took a little while- the desk staff was having frustration with computer issues so we had to wait about 10 minutes. The room was very quiet and comfortable, so the wait was alright.'

'My 10 year old daughter's favorite out of the 4 places we stayed, and I agree. Clean, affordable, and so charming, Tons of fruit trees and flowers, beautiful property. Great balance between eco friendly and comfortable. Guests are asked to conserve power (as location is solar powered and the location sometimes has long stretches of rain), but still great wifi, powerful fan, shampoo and body wash in the shower and a high water pressure endless hot shower. The fairy lights directing the way to...

'Punawai Hale Barn Bungalow at this property is a wonderfully atmospheric and memorable place to stay. The spacious room with its tropical décor feels warm and inviting, and the sunroom overlooking a lively duck pond adds a peaceful charm. With ducks, chickens, cockerels, sheep, and goats roaming the grounds, the property feels lovingly crafted and uniquely farm‑like, making our stay both relaxing and distinctive — but it’s best suited for guests who enjoy animals and don’t mind a farm‑style...

'If you find Allan, everything is allright. Otherwise don't go there after dark, too hard to find'

'Nice comfy place to stay for a couple days.'
