'On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. There is a 24 bar located en route to the rooms and an Aperol was £18!!! scandalous. 'Very easy going and comfortable hotel, beautifully located alongthe river Tweed. It’s well worth staying a couple of nights and use the hotel as a base for some beautiful hikes and sight-seeing. We loved the food in the restaurant. Best we had in Schotland. Feesh fish, crispy vegetables and a great breakfast ontbe 1st floor with a stunning view in the river. You can even bring your dogs!'

'I would normally say nothing rather than write a bad review but this place was so bad - the room in particular, the fact that no one cared and it showed , the lack of maintenance or bothering about customers , i think other guests should be aware. We could have put up with having to search for someone to check us in, the dirty carpets, battered dirty paint work, incredibly slow service , being made to feel an inconvenience for having dinner ( food was nice when we eventually got it) and not...

'Wonderfully clean bedding. But not a single hook or peg to hang the jackets. Nice quiet place to spend a night. Happy overall. '
