'Lovely lodges, well maintained and nice hot tub Only disadvantage is not being able to keep the car at the lodge as my friend has poor mobility. We had been promised the lodge closest to the restaurant building, but we weren't put in there unfortunately'

'One of our two favourite inns on our Cotswolds journey. The staff was charming and very thoughtful, and the room and dining were perfect. We upgraded to the Oakley room and were so glad we did. What a fantastic room with wonderful amentities and all of the charm you could expect from a historic building - I think they said it is over 400 years old. Dinner and breakfast were the best of our trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.'

'The lights in the bathroom were beautiful'

'Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . 'De kamer kon een poetsbeurt gebruiken wat niet gebeurde. Handdoeken werden niet gewisseld ook al was dat onze vraag. Het ontbijt was heel goed.'

'Simpele maar schone kamer waar alles is wat je nodig hebt. Snelle wifi, lekker bed en fijne douche. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Volgende dag ontbijt voor de open haard - speciaal voor mij aangestoken. Prima diner.'

'The hotel was in the ideal location for our purpose. It had its own car park which was convenient. The building looks good from the outside, unfortunately the rooms are out dated and ours was very hot. As it was on the ground floor we did not feel it safe to open the larger windows and the small window did not provide sufficient cooling. We had noisy neighbours both above and next door, this was unlucky and could happen in any hotel.'

'delicious food, friendly staff, on a busy road, but on the back a nice walk into the countryside'

'Oud maar gezellig , en een zeer antieke ontbijtruimte , een aanrader .'
