« Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely. »

« Had an incredible stay at this cosy hotel/pub! The staff were beyond friendly, making us feel welcomed right from the start. The bed was the epitome of comfort, guaranteeing a good night's sleep after each exciting day. We'll definitely be coming back. The food was nothing short of amazing, with the Sunday carvery being a highlight – it's a hit with the locals too, so a tip for future guests: make sure to book in advance. Overall, a 10/10 experience, easily one of the best places I've stayed at. »

« The property is small but that is part of the charm. Only two of us and it was exactly what we wanted. Managed to cook a huge Christmas dinner and had some beautiful walks. Had a lovely relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. »

« Clean and well fitted out (as described) and in a good location for harbour and beach. Friendly staff. I was initially concerned at a lack of information about where we could park, but once we had got to the place to ask, turns out they have a free parking space nearby for guests and we were not rushed out of it when we checked out so we had an extra couple of hours on the harbour with no parking problem. Great to have good air conditioning - gets hot in the attic room - and controllable blinds...

a good place to be on the sea side
"If you plan to visit the iconic village of Portmeirion, the village in the no less iconic TV serie The prisoner, The Moelwyn Hotel & Restaurant is really a good place to stay for one night or more. Within 100m of the beach and the castle, the welcome is warm and attentive, you will enjoy comfortable rooms with comfortable bedding and don’t miss the restaurant where you can taste good food, good wine and good beer. You have a good choice for breakfast, continental or English with large portions to be able to face the coming day. If you come by car, there is a parking in front of the hotel. ------------- Si vous prévoyez de visiter le village emblématique de Portmeirion, le village de la série télévisée non moins emblématique Le prisonnier, The Moelwyn Hotel & Restaurant est vraiment un bon endroit pour rester pour une nuit ou plus.
