Cottages in Doddington

'Great location, fabulous views of the rolling hills and loch, together with a real sense of 'getting away from it all'. The downstairs of the cottage was cosy and adequately equipped. We particularly enjoyed the open fire that was set up ready to go, we only had to light it and there was plenty of spare wood to burn. A point for our own learning is that next time we will select somewhere that does not welcome pets as many parts of the upstairs did smell like dogs were there before us. So much so...

'Beautiful cottage , very peaceful with great views . In a more remote setting away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, about 30 minutes drive from Alnwick to stock up with provisions.'

'Nice cosy dog friendly cottage in a great location. Very friendly host. Cottage was very well equipped for a great week's stay'

'Lovely, comfortable cottage, beautifully dressed for Christmas. Great responsive and helpful host. We had a wonderful time.'

'The cottage is ideally located and the off street parking is a bonus. The property is well laid out and spacious with everything you could need for a relaxing break. We would not hesitate to return. Only a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better. There was a faint smell of drains in the bathroom which built up if the door was closed. The wooden frame round the bed had corners which could catch your legs when walking round it due to the close proximity of the wardrobe. More room...

'Gorgeous accommodation really cosy and had everything you needed - close to pubs and amazing views and walks we had a great time would stay again and highly recommend'

'Property is well located and beds are comfy. It was very cold in the property when we arrived as the thermostat had been turned to 10 degrees and there were no matches to light the fire. The whole property felt like it needed a bit of a refresh.....walls marked, some mirrors cracked, doors & handles chipped, kitchen equipment mismatched and well used, some kitchen equipment broken, dining room chair broken and not usable. The shower has a slanted roof so not ideal as you have to duck to prevent...

'Great apartment right in the town centre. Spacious living space and everything you need for a home from home experience. As the flat is high up you get great views out towards the castle and the roof windows give great views of the stars on a clear night.'

'Altogether excellent...very friendly helpful owners'

'Enjoyable stay. Lovely town, everything within walking distance. Private car parking space was good, although a little tight. House was clean and owners to attention to detail was apparent to us. Everything well maintained and tidy. Clean bedding, towels etc. Would return to this house if in Seahouses again.'
