  • Tucked away in the heart of Deal's conservation area lies Rogues Cottage, a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian terrace house that has been lovingly restored to create a luxury holiday home. This secluded gem of a property not only has charming interiors with exceptional attention to detail, but also cosy corners and heaps of character and original features. The sitting room has a large inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. There is a well-equipped kitchen, breakfast station and cosy dining room, as well as handy downstairs cloakroom and toilet. Upstairs on the first and second floor are two spacious bedrooms and a stunning bathroom with copper bath and separate rainfall shower. Outside, a cosy courtyard offers a sheltered and peaceful space to relax after a day on the beach. Rogues Cottage is perfectly positioned just seconds from the lovely long seafront promenade and minutes from the bustling Deal High Street with its artisan food shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants.

Maison décorée avec soin, et très bien entretenue.

Logement en tout point conforme aux photos et à nos attentes. Maison décorée avec soin, et très bien entretenue. Nous avons apprécié la cuisine bien équipée et le fait d'avoir le nécessaire (pastille lave-vaisselle, sel, café...) Nous avons passé une super semaine !

First class in every way!

This was the second time we had been to Rogue's Cottage, and we had just as nice a time as the first. The cottage was a little bastion of comfort on some very cold, windy days! There was everything we needed and the decor and ambience were lovely. Dogs are welcome there too and that was very important to us. I think Rogue's Cottage will be our go-to place when we come down here. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at rogues cottage and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent location with all that deal has to offer practically on the doorstep! The cottage is beautifully finished - our two weeks flew by.

An utterly beautiful cottage

Rogue’s cottage is utterly charming and beautifully appointed with luxury touches. A perfect base to explore this bit of Kent, including Deal, Walmer, Dover & Sandwich. My son was thrilled with the huge basket of toys, and it was lovely to be a few steps from the seafront.

Stay at Rougues cottage

Perfectly positioned to enjoy walks along the sea front and also handy for the shops. Deal is such an interesting town and so easy to fill a week with visits to Sandwich;, Canterbury, Walmer Castle and lots of lovely walks.

Characterful, cosseting and stylish place to stay in charming Deal

We loved everything about Rogues Cottage and our interactions with the holiday company. Come here if you appreciate the charm of an old cottage, updated with modern comforts and styled with flair and generosity. The location is top notch too, tucked away on a quiet street with the sea at the end of the road and Deal’s award-winning High Street a short stroll away.

Good choice

Rogue’s Cottage is wonderfully situated and has been carefully modernised and tastefully decorated. Like many of the houses in the conservation area, the stairs are narrow and steep so not good for anyone with mobility problems. The little courtyard is large enough to eat in and the beds are very comfortable. The beach is just at the end of the street.

Great place to stay, comfort and character

We really enjoyed our stay at Rogues Cottage. It had lots of character and cottage features, and at the same time it was very comfortable. Keepers Cottages were very helpful when I contacted with some questions about the property before our stay. We felt very relaxed after our week away, and having stayed in Deal a couple of times before this was easily our favourite place.

super cute!

Rogues cottage was such a lovely stay. The house and all furnishings are lovely - I kept checking various cushions/ blankets etc for where they were from! Comfy beds - lovely well equipped kitchen what more could you want! Spotlessly clean throughout. It was expensive but I felt worth it as such care and thought had gone into all the details and furnishings.

Completely gorgeous

We absolutely loved our stay at Rogue's Cottage. It is decorated so beautifully. We all particularly loved the big copper bath. It was brilliant being seconds from the beach - I even popped down to watch the sunrise with a coffee, in my pyjamas. I have family roots in Deal and we would definitely book Rogue's Cottage again.

Lovely house in Deal Kent

On Dolphin St which is off Middle St the historic part of Deal making it a great spot to stop.Rogue cottage has a good size lounge with a large front room all original features and large open fireplace.Good size kitchen through to a small dining table and handy downstairs loo. 2 upper floors with a main good comfy double bed and bathroom with a grand copper bath plus a walk in shower.3rd floor had another bedroom.Dog friendly.A super place to stop for us for our week in Deal and well worth a look.Plenty of good reviews in the house review book from previous guests.

An amazing stay

We had a great time at Rogue’s cottage and loved the property. Full of charm and personality. Finished to a high specification with quality interiors and amenities. The location is fantastic for all that Deal and the surrounding area has to offer. Perfect for our dog who also had the best trip. Hoping to stay again soon!

Wonderful stay at Rogue’s Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Rogue Cottage, the location of the cottage is amazing - 30 seconds to the beach and to the town! It was great that there was a baby cot, high chair and huge bucket of children’s toys provide for our little one but I do think there should be the option for stair gates. It is two very steep stair cases which made it pretty dangerous for our toddler. There was also a smell of damp, we think there may be some water leaking when the shower is running. It was a lovely touch that there was chocolates provided and a bottle of French brandy but no milk and no logs - both despite saying they would be provided in the printed out welcome pack. Overall a wonderful stay and break but a few tweaks would make this place perfect!

Short break in deal

Lovely cottage. Full of charm. Very clean and great location. For me the sofas were not comfortable and need to be replaced urgently to improve the overall experience. Everything else was lovely.

We had a lovely time in Deal. Thought the cottage was a bit pricey. The pictures made it look a bit more sumptuous than it actually was but I guess some of that is down to personal taste.

Rogues cottage

Excellent location of cottage. Close to town centre but far enough away to not be noisy. Clean and quaint. Steel stairs and low cielings. Would benefit from more comprehensive owners information pack, regarding appliances, heating and rubbish collections etc.

Our second visit

This was our second stay in Rogue’s Cottage. The cottage was equally as charming in blustery winter weather and was tastefully decorated for Christmas, which we appreciated. We had a minor issue this time, which the team were quick to respond to, so it won’t prevent us coming back a third time!

Fantastic Cottage

We really enjoyed our visit to Deal and Rogue cottage was a fantastic base from which to explore. The cottage was extremely well equipped with a high standard of finish. The coffee machine was a treat we did not expect. I would highly recommend Deal and also Rogue Cottage.

Lovely cottage

A really lovely cottage, especially for the cold winter months, because it is so snug. The whole cottage is comfortably warm in a minute. Great little wood burner. The kitchen and small dining room are sooo cosy. Okay, you probably will bump your head a few times. The courtyard is (as to be expected) very tiny and shared with two wheelie bins.. But: Rogues cottage is a gem! You will not want to leave the cottage for too long. Never mind, just an evening stroll through all the lovely narrow neighbouring streets. And the real treat of course: the sea, at arm length for a morning walk. Oh, and the silence at night, a real bonus!

Beautiful cottage in great location

A beautifully renovated and stylishly decorated cottage, with all that we needed for a week in Deal. Minutes from the sea, and just a short walk through the old part of town to the high street with its independent businesses, cafes and places to eat. We walked or used the train to get about (so we can’t comment on parking) and it was always a delight to return to the cottage at the end of the day. It was quiet and cosy during a week of mixed weather in May and we recommend both the cottage (just note the steep and twisty stairs) and Deal. We hope to be back.

Rogue’s Cottage

All in all a lovely cottage but requires some attention. The green sofa needs replacing or the springs replaced and it is currently only balancing on one of the legs as this has broken off. More then one set of towels per person would be helpful too, as would a mirror in the twin bedroom. However, the furnishings are generally of a high standard and the location is great.

Perfect Getaway By The Sea

We had a lovely break in Deal including being lucky with the weather. We knew the area but this time wanted some space of our own rather than the confines of a hotel and this cottage was a good solution, just a short walk to the sea front, shops, restaurants and pubs. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean with quality appliances, fixtures and fittings – can’t think of anything that was missing. Customer service, i.e. information and checking all was ok with our trip and the property was excellent - thank you to the property owners and the staff.
