"Felt like being part of a cruise for some reason, the entertainment, size of the hotel, gave that ambiance. The rooms need to be refreshed (the bathroom was old) but all in all, we still had a good time in Folkestone so I'd still give it a 7 if I had to rate the experience."

"I stayed at this hotel last weekend and was quite disappointed overall. The decor is extremely dated and the whole building feels in need of a serious refresh. During a storm, water leaked into our bathroom overnight due to the poor condition of the window—we had to place towels on the floor to prevent flooding. While the general cleanliness of the room was acceptable at first glance, it was clear that a thorough deep clean hadn’t been done in a long time. When my partner accidentally dropped an earring under the bed, what we found underneath was quite unhygienic. Noise was another major issue. There were young guests in the room above us, drinking and jumping around with their friends until 2 AM, which made it very difficult to sleep. As someone who travels frequently, I expected a much better experience—especially given the price. The view was fine, but nothing special. Overall, I found the hotel to be overrated and not worth the cost."
